This place is stagnent in terms of activity, therefore I propose that we have a tournament of sorts instead of a monthly competition and shit. We need something where everybody can prove their graphical skills whether they be good or bad. Either way, this place needs some activity and seeing as how Norris seems preoccupied with his diaries than running the graphics forum, somebody needs to do something (not a dig on you Norris, just saying that some activity needs to be sparked up here).

So any takers for a tournament, gauntlet challenge, competition, etc.?

I had a plan of sorts to start up a tournament for the place, but after the abysmal showings for the monthly contests I was a bit unsure about it really.

I want to moderatre this place properly, I really do, it's just hard to when there's so little activity in comparison to the past.

So before we come up with ideas of things to run now, let's come up with ideas to promote activity here. I'm up for whatever ideas you guys have, I'm pretty sure if I asked the admins would let me have full control over the Graphics forum rather then limited (I can't make subforums like Hamster can in the Cube, etc...) and I'll be perfectly happy to work with everyone on these things.

I've not done that great a job at trying to revive this place, admittedly... but if you guys are willing to bring it back up again, I'll do all I can to help.

CSAMH doesn't have the power to make subforums, he just goes and asks in VIP and an admin will do it for him, you have that ability too.

But the admins can be very kind when the mood takes them.

Today's the 27th, so on Wednesday (March 1st) I'll post sign-ups for the tournament. It'll be something for the month of March.

An idea I had for it would be to stylize it similar to that of the March Madness, NCAA Tournament, in that it has seeds facing off against each other during the time.

Perhaps hold a competition before the tournament is to start to determine the seeds or just do it with who you think would fit, etc. Perhaps have different "regions" as well or something?

It'll be coming tonight, unfortunately I couldn't make it last night as alot of personal problems got in the way... things are better now though, so the plans we've set in this thread will swing into motion soon enough
