Yes and what a suprise the refs can't see Marty on the sidelines fanatically signaling for a time out.

This year there have been ridiculous roughing the passer calls over and over, including joey harrington tripping over someone, and the refs don't call it when its blatant and right in front of them. They knew it was a spike play, the play was over, he still came through and still hit him. But its the pats so thats not a penalty

Someone's a hater.

Both sides got pretty bad calls against them. There was a blatent offside that everyone shrugged off. Antonio Gates' incomplete pass saved the Chargers for a few moments. (Didn't they score on that drive, or no?)

Yeah, the refs handed the Pats the game by not calling a penalty when Rivers got decked right in front of them, then the Chargers' kicker blew his first FG attempt at home in 2 years.

Are you kidding me? If anything, Rivers should have got a flag for play acting. He was barely touched and he still took a WWE-style bump.

I also find it humerous it's always "the refs handed the pats the game" outside of last years terrible reffing job in Denver, but lets just take this game. SD had chance after chance to win it. Secure the ball after the INT and that may turn into something, if Florence doesn't head butt after they get to Brady, etc. The list goes on and on, SD had chances to win and they didn't, NE had chances to win and they converted on those.

Plus as I always say. Real champions win despite bad calls from the refs.

Man the Sky Sports crew fucking suck.

Can you imagine if they had an ex-Center in? The conversation would be worse.

Except for Nick Halling. He's a legend. The American guests they have in are usually decent, too, see: Cecil Martin, Shaun Gayle.

Ahh, so Halling doesn't do Channel 5 anymore?

The Patriots get every call, it's been that way forever it seems like (except last year in Denver, obviously). I wouldn't be surprised if the referee's were pulling for the Patriots, but either way the Chargers had a chance to either tie or win and had a lot of chances to finish the Pats off early.

Either way, I like the Bears and Colts, so that's who I'm rooting for.

Play was over, guy came through and made contact with Rivers. Thats a penalty, whether you like it or not. Doesn't matter that Rivers oversold the hell out of it, a Patriot still marched through the line well after the play was over and tagged him upside the head. How is that not a penatly?

They've been calling ridiculous roughing the passer/personal foul penatlies all year long, but they suddenly decide that doesn't qualify? If you go and purposely make contanct with another player after a play is over its a penalty, you can't deny that.

The Chargers did themselves in with a lot of stupid things such as the Drayton Florence headbutt penalty and the 4th down play Hasselhoff mentioned, but the Patriots did get away with a few things that they should have been called on.

Besides the Rivers incident, the last touchdown New England scored, the player pushed off and they didn't call it.

And Marty was clearly signalling for a time out when the Patriots were going to convert yet the refs didn't stop the play or null the conversion and make them do it again after the time out. If someone is signalling a time out before a play goes off, you're supposed to call the time out before the play starts or nullify it, not ignore the time out signal completely.

I expected the Pats to win, anyway, but not because of bad officiating.
