So I've just recently bought Casino and The Untouchables because they were cheap and was looking at my DVDs thinking how many mob movies I had, so far (off the top of my head) I have:

Godfather 1,2,3

Goodfellas

Road to Perdition

Casino

The Untouchables

Donnie Brasco

Scarface

All the Sopranos boxsets

What other essentials am I missing?

Donnie Brasco?

EDIT: Nevermind. Just noticed it, I just scanned the first post. My bad. I can't think of any other than the ones you listed.

I'm assuming you want post 70s stuff? If so then you need Carlito's Way, Mean Streets, Once Upon A Time In America, Miller's Crossing and maybe the King of New York, and then I'd say you've got the essentials for the last 35 years.

I'd reccomend a movie called "made".

It's by basically the same crew that did "swingers", and it stars Favreau and Vaughn in the 2 lead roles. It's not a mob movie per se, and in no way is it really essential, but it's a cracking film none the less, and i think it only cost me about 3 quid new. Well worth picking up.

I'll second Mean Streets and King of New York. Both are brilliant movies, especially Mean Streets if you a Martin Scorcese fan. Deniro and Keitel both turn in brilliant performances for this movie.

Raging Bull might be worth a look as well. It's main storyline isn't mafia based, but the mob do tie in heavily in regards to the advancement of the story. It's also based on a true story which makes things a bit more interesting. The mob presence is heavy enough that it might just qualify for your criteria, but it's a great movie to check out at any rate.
