Fucking hell.

I know they were outshooting you Leafs, but it's a 2 goal lead going into the third and you have a losing streak to break! How can you fall apart like that? I think three of the goals were from takeaways too. Well, last year we were killed by a massive losing streak, I guess this year its coming early.

50's? Not even close.

It was 1961. :crying:

EDIT: Minnesota wins after a shootout. Damn Finns. Mikko Koivu and Petteri Nummelin scored for the Wild.

Ottawa keeps rolling, 8 of 9 now and move up to... I believe 6th spot. Either way, they're back in the playoff picture and that's way more important. Glad to see Heatley getting it done, would hate to see him follow his tremendous season last year with anything short of another 50 goal season :P

He is borderline. I'd say no, but it could go either way. Nieuwendyk was a Conn Smythe winner though, so that could carry him in.

Anyway, I always liked watching Nieuwendyk play and it's sad to see all these guys you watched as a kid retire.

Friend of mine, Brad Smith, in a shootout in the Maritime Junior league, apparently it was the CTV play of the week. Obviously Datsyuk looked a lot better doing it, but still.

Hawks up 1-0 after the first against the 'Yotes. Karl Stewart with the lone goal, short-handed. But the highlight of the period was the Jim Vandermeer/Josh Gratton fight. An awesome toe-to-toe bout. Excellent showing by both guys, but Vandy gets the edge for throwing the better punches. Great action. Good to see the bad-ass Vandy back. He's been too soft all season.

Something has got to give here. Once again our goalie (this time Aubin) plays great all game, and we enter the third with a lead, and once again we fucking collapse. Something has to happen here. We need a shake-up, whether that means a completely new game plan or some sort of roster move, I don't know. Toronto is sending their great start and their playoff hopes down the fucking toilet.
