He's a terrible singer too.

Anyway, when it comes to ugly goaltenders, Stefan Liv bucks the trend. Whenever he loses his mask in a game, four thousand women (and 115 men) simueltaneously orgasm.

Man, Montreal is teabagging the rest of the league right now. It's as though the other teams all simultaniously yelled out Tea Bag in Yo Face! No one is playing with any confidence right now. Especially our goalies. I don't know what someone should do, but they should do something. Like open up a few briefcases of money dump them in the middle of the dressing room and offer it to the team if they can put together a win.

Canucks continue to run through the Northeast division. That game was... weird, Vancouver didn't even shoot in the third period, and played the trap a ton. Isn't SDM the one always complaining about the trap? Either way, they won, and earned it by getting the early lead, Ottawa is no good trying to catch up in a game.

The game was really good through the first two periods. Very physical, good tempo. Also, RORY!

Guilty as charged, the Canucks trapped the shit out of the third period. In their defense;

1. They'd lost one of their top shut down defensemen during the game and were playing with 5, one of which was RORY, so they couldn't go chance for chance, especially with the scoring power Ottawa has, and win.

2. They weren't playing the NZT. They were lining up at their own blue line and the Sens could have gotten in with soft dumps and a hard forecheck. Instead, they tried to get fancy, getting stood up at the line and sent back. Hell, they had the goalie pulled and went offside because they were afraid to dump the puck. Luongo is not Marty Turco; he's not going to burn them with a deep pass. I don't know why they were so passive.

3. The Canucks played a clean trap. While still a trap, and still evil, they managed to avoid taking penalties for most of the period, and killed off the ones they took.

Also, I changed the channel and watched the Daily Show/Impact, so.

It was a really good game, but you can't say ottawa didn't dump. They were getting great forechecking from Schubert/Eaves/McAmmond, and Neil and Schaefer are built to forecheck with Comrie, it was mostly Vermette's line and the top line that didn't really dump and forecheck. Rory's goal was sad, Emery underestimated it and looked like he was throwing a cocky grab at the puck and just missed it. Heatley hitting the post was a game story, as Vancouver got a lot of good bounces and Luongo could do almost no wrong, so even when he got beat(besides Alfredsons goal) he wasn't letting pucks in. Luongo is something to watch.

I meant specifically in the third period. It seemed like in the first two periods, the Sens wanted to play along the boards, which seemed the last THING they'd ever want to do. The Canucks are built to do exactly that.

Getting Chad Kilger off of waivers has been the best move by John Ferguson Jr. since he was appointed GM of the Leafs. Pohl is only in the line-up because of his relationship with coach Paul Maurice, and Pohl has used it to his advantage and proved himself to be a capable NHL player.

I like the way Vancouver plays defence. Yes they trap the shit out of the other team. But when the opposing team gets into the offensive zone they're so good at forcing shots from the boards or point. They also pounce on rebounds like nobodies business.
