I could never, ever stand Rugrats.

Reboot, however, was the fucking king.

"Mwahahahaha, I have upgraded from MEGABYTE to GIGABYTE!"

"Oh noes~! That's like, a THOUSAND times more evil!"

Not a cartoon, but I'm sorry just about everyone here is too young to have seen the awesomeness that was:

Morgan Freeman as Easy Reader on Electric Company - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2T9hwByqhVg

Easy Reader = the badass motherfucker before Sam Jackson came along.

As for other stuff I watched as a kid, Super Friends, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Gigantor, Thundercats, Silverhawks, Masters Of The Universe....

Most of the usual shows have been mentioned, so I'll name a few others.

Reading Rainbow:

It's educational! Eh, I used to watch anything as a kid, no matter how not very good it was. We watched it in school sometimes, too.

Babar:

I used to watch it quite a bit. I think I had a few of the books too.

Garfield and Friends:

I had a ton of those comic compilations, so naturaly I watched the show religiously.

Any Canadians that weren't raised with this cartoon were raised wrong:

The Log Driver's Waltz

I always hated that thing, because it used to be on Teletoon all the time. I'm talking like daily.

If Thomas the Tank Engine can qualify as a 'cartoon', then it goes top of my list. I was obsessed with it as a kid.

Stoker won the thread.

FIREMAN SAM!!!!

I know its stop frame animation, but it was still immense.

My wife used to watch it on Welsh TV when she was at uni in Wales.

Apparantly the 'lip synching' is in Welsh so fits perfectly, compared to it beinga bit dodgy when translated to English...

I assumed the "lip synching" being so good was because it is seemingly set in a Welsh city.....I always thought it may have been done in Welsh and then translated into English.

In this day and age where retro mania grips the children of the 80s, and people are perfectly happy to buy/rewatch/be nostalgic about old kiddy shows like many of those previously mentioned...why is it that I can't do the same with Thomas the Tank Engine without being the subject of mockery? :(

Who mocks you? I'll hunt them down and batter them to death with one of my old Thomas The Tank toys.

I also had, instead of a tricycle or bike like a lot of kids have, a Thomas The Tank train that you could sit on and drive around with when I was a kid. It was awesome.
