and I hate that I can't for the life of me, figure out a music video I saw on one of the pop music channels the other day. While they were on those channels, they were very punkish, female-lead, and sounded a bit like the Distillers, but I can't remember who the fuck they were.

Can't believe I forgot to mention Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

Damn, that's a very good one. Jett's stuff definitely fits the hard rock criteria and yet remains catchy. I mean, that's gotta be the reason everyone and their mother like butchering "I Want Rock 'N' Roll".

The thing about Joan Jett is, she's still going strong. They put on a kickass show at this year's Warped Tour and heading out on the road along with Eagles of Death Metal which will definitely be awesome.
