A Wonderful list of Nominees! One of GG's best! I just hope The Oscars have something along those lines....and I hope Dreamgirls doesn't win(although it will) at the Oscars or Golden Globes, because I'd like a surprise. Not saying it does not deserve it(I'll be seeing the Film sometime over the Holiday), it's just becomes a boring Oscar season. Same goes with Letters from Iwo Jima. The Departed and Little Miss Sunshine all the way!!

Do they always just give 3 nods to Animated Films because they could've definitely put Flushed Away in there.

Also, giving Ugly Betty a nod over How I Met Your Mother (having it's greatest season yet) is just a tragedy.

Big Love? :| That was shit. How did that make it over good stuff like The Shied, Rescue Me, or The Sopranos? Gay. 24, Heroes, and Lost are all fine by me. I hope Evangeline Lilly wins. And Michael C Hall getting a nomination for Dexter is excellent. He is great there. I hope he wins.

No Brotherhood? Or The Wire? Or The Shield? I'd have any of those three in over Lost and 24, personally, as both shows have just been pretty bad this year. (At least Lost has been this Fall season, and 24 started off GREAT, but started to get pretty boring about halfway through.)

No nods for Alfonso Cuaron or Guillermo del Toro for Best Director, or Children of Men for Best Movie? Shit. I'd rather have that in over Bobby or The Departed, for sure, though I haven't seen Little Children or The Queen yet.

Thank You For Smoking (and Aaron Eckhart)'s a nice, welcomed surprise though, same with Andre Braugher for Thief, though Michael Ealy shouldn't be there. He was good in Sleeper Cell, no doubt, but I don't think he was THIS good.

Okay I hate to bump, but now that I've seen all the best picture nominees, just thought I'd rank them:

1. The Departed

2. Borat

3. Little Miss Sunshine

4. Little Children

5. The Queen

6. Dreamgirls

7. Babel

8. The Devil Wears Prada

9. Thank You For Smoking

10. Bobby

All very good except for Bobby, which was a sentimental clap trap. Good on the HFPA for some really good nominees this year. With the exception of Children of Men's snub of course, which considering Bobby's nod ranks as one of the more severe moments of lunacy in recent GG history.

If The Departed doesn't win then The Golden Globes are fundamentally flawed...
