Carew > Baros, but Carew's been absolutely diabolical since about March of last year, and he's been especially horrid since the new season started. He's gonna need some serious talking-to if he ever becomes good again.

In more interesting news, Juan Roman Riquelme, god amongst men :shifty:, will probably leave Villareal soon after falling out with, well, everyone in the club except Diego Forlan. It's not sure where's headed, but the rumoured price tag is 10 million euros (bargain), and Bayern Munich are said to be hating the race.

Martin O'Neill is a good man manager, so he could come good.

We almost got him a couple of years ago, but he failed a fitness test. I'd like to see us keep Montella, but he'll probably cost too much.

Because playing Riquelme would require dropping Carrick. Carrick isn't a defensive midfielder, he's like a worst version of Riquelme. What Man Utd need, I think, is a defensive mid, which is what Hargreaves will do.

Man Utd aren't particularly desperate for a Riquelme-like player now.

I dunno, but he's certainly nothing like Keane in his style. He's more of a playmaker with outstanding passing. From what I've seen, their midfield is kinda lightweight and they need a hard tackler which is what people think Hargreaves can do.
