So, in everyone's opinion, which songs are more fun on bass than guitar? So far I think Dani California and Tom Sawyer are much more fun on bass.

i started using upstroke only for bass, like fingering it, and it makes the songs on bass much more fun, you feel like you're actually setting a groove

Agreed, it's much more fun to play the bass that way, but I can't play like that with the Guitar Hero controller, only the Rock Band Strat.

Ouch. We picked up the game by itself since we already had a mic and two Guitar Hero guitars hoping to just pick up the drums.

But at $80 I think I'll pass entirely on that endeavour. That is just too steep.
