I'd go to the NYC show if they had any cheap tickets left, all that were left were 300+.

...still bitter that they decided not to have a Canadian show for whatever reason. Looking at the other lineups, the Canadian show could have been something other than the old-boys' crowd of Cochrane, Bachman, the Hip, etc...

They actually probably would have used Bachman anyways and with good reason, as he's one of Canada's more active celebrity environmental activists now. I'm honestly not as impressed with the acts announced so far as I was with Live8, but if I had to choose, the British bill is definitely the best.

And wow, tickets are really that expensive? Live8 tickets were what, 20 bucks? Or am I confusing that with SARS-stock?

I'm going to the Metallica gig the day after Live Earth (And in the same venue)... I'm not sure I understand your reasoning for saying they'll be at Live Earth though

I'm sure people will still buy tickets, but I don't know, the fact that the Live 8 tickets were rather accessible made it that much more special IMO. I think I'll just watch this one on TV instead of attending.

I quite enjoyed the Make Poverty History concerts given that it was free, but there is no way I'm flying to Sydney and spending $99 to see the same old artists again. I really dug Live8 but I'm growing tired of the mass-scale charity concert, too many in quick succession.

Were they selling tickets in the UK like they did in Aus? $100 was a ripoff for a pretty ordinary line-up, I think I'll stick to watching it on the telly.
