I always tend to get him ever since FM 05 but Ochoa the mexican goalkeeper always seems to be pretty decent. I signed him for Barca and it seemed to make alot of people happy especially Zambrotta for some reason lol

Huntelaar is quickly becoming a Forlan or a Kezman on my game, I spent 11m on him hes only scored twice in 15 games. I don't know why either his stats are good and hes got good service from Carew holding the ball up and Barry and Maloney on either wing.

EDIT: Scratch that he's just got a double against Boro away for a 2-0 win lol

Good to hear Sick. I hate it when something happens to the PC and you loose data. One of those things i wouldn't want to wish on anyone even my arch nemesis lol.

Does anyone know if any decent skins have been made for FM 08 yet?

For those of you with the Beta patch, download it again. SI have upgraded it without telling anyone. It's now got loads more fixes in it. Apparently been upgraded since Friday, too.

Thanks SI.

Yeah, I read that on the SI forum earlier.

I can't be hooped downloading a new Beta version every day or 2, so I think I'll wait until the full patch comes out (hopefully Friday or Saturday if the 2 week estimate from the Beta release was right).

Yeh it's expected this Friday. But if it's save game compatible, there's no harm in downloading it anyway, surely. It can only help.

Got round to resuming my Arsenal game last night, after a period of being distracted by other things... It was the middle of February 2007 when I'd left off. Thankfully the transfer window passed so Clichy stopped bitching about wanting to leave but he remains "frustrated" at not being allowed to go to AC Milan. You're still first choice ahead of Shorey, damn it, so shaddup.

Games went like thus:

Disappointing 0-0 draw at home to West Ham. van Persie and Walcott seemed to have misplaced their chemistry up front, with Eduardo providing most of the chances from his AMC position instead. Positively mediocre performance from Rosicky, Denilson and Fabregas in midfield, while the defence were perfectly solid. Gallas and Senderos have been a really good centre back duo since Toure went off to participate in the African Nations Cup, so it's going to be a difficult decision when he gets back. Akinfeev remains a God in goal, of course. At the end of the day a draw wasn't good enough, and I told them so. Still 7 points clear of Chelsea at the top of the table, though.

Defeated Aston Villa 2-0 at home in the FA Cup Fourth Round Replay to advance to the Fifth Round. Rosicky and Denilson were suspended due to yellow card quotas so Merida and Gilberto Silva took their respective places in the starting line up...and promptly each scored a goal! Well, there's a message if I ever saw one. Owen came back to start alongside van Persie in this match, but again neither man could produce. Fabregas continues to be uninspiring, and I'm beginning to wonder whether he shouldn't spend some time on the bench in the near future. Shorey started a game at left back and performed well, not too much to choose between him and Clichy. Sagna put in another excellent performance at right back and got MOTM for it - a real workhorse. We're at home to Manchester City in the next round.

One game after returning to full fitness from his last knock, Michael Owen receives a 'dead leg' in training and is out for 5 days, the careless muppet that he is. Still our top goalscorer so far though...even if it's been about 5 games since he last hit the back of the net.

Got Fulham in the Premiership, Man City in the FA Cup, and Barcelona in the Champions League 1st Knockout Round coming up. If Henry scores against me, I shall not be pleased.

Hmm. I could sign Ronaldo (as in the Brazilian one) on a free transfer. He is of course, as my scout points out, a selfish twat, already 31 years old, and he would only be the fourth best striker in the squad behind Owen, van Persie and, yes, even Walcott.

But...it's a free transfer. :shifty:
