Early Smackdown Information

The TV figures for last night are now in: WWE Smackdown! drew 948,257 viewers (up by 44,964). This is quite a significant increase given the fact that the ratings have been slipping for a while now. The highest rated segment was the Main Event with the Eddie/Edge confrontation coming in a close second.

Identity Of El Gran Luchadore

We here at grapplefanatics.net learnt from an inside source that the identity of El Gran Luchadore, the challenger that faced off against Edge on Smackdown was none other than the recently signed Psychosis. Apparently the role was not just a one-off deal as it has been confirmed he has been also using the gimmick at house shows for the Smackdown brand.

The Rock May Join Evolution Afterall

A shocking development in the Randy Orton vs. Mick Foley saga happened just last week as it was announced that if Mick were to lose, his best friend The Rock would be forced to join Evolution. Baring that in mind, it came no surprise that the WWE is already hyping an Australian house show with the three in attendance. On the card however, a few surprises just may be in store with the Main Event promising to be Mick Foley, Shelton Benjamin and The Undertaker taking on Evolution; Triple H, Randy Orton and….The Rock. Yes folks, take it for what its worth and stick here with Grapplefanatics.

Jarret Claims TNA TV Deal Finalised

For weeks now, America’s Number One Independent NWA:TNA has been on the verge of signing a television deal with FX Sports with little or no progress over the past few weeks. Well, it seems now The TNA World Champion, Jeff Jarret has went out on a leg stating that the deal is ‘more or less Finalised’. It must be noted that Jarret has always had a reputation for being a bit of a talker but coming from this source, the statement may be a lot truer than most of us are expecting it to be.

Punk vs. Joe Rematch Confirmed

As the controversy surrounds CM Punk’s monumental Ring Of Honor World Title Win, the Straight Edge Icon will have little time to prepare for his rematch with Samoa Joe in the upcoming weeks. Scheduled for the Round Robin Challenge, the rematch will take place on the 15th of May and given the success of they’re first encounter, we’re willing to bet this is one encounter you don’t want to miss.

Backstage Politics Behind CM Punk Title Win

There has been a recent out-cry within the Ring Of Honor lockeroom stating that CM Punk’s World Title win over Samoa Joe was but a result of backstage politics. Fixating on the gap between ROH and TNA, Punk was said to have threatened to leave the company if his negotiations were not met. As a top-tier star of the company and former trainer of they’re Academy, CM Punk is well worth hanging onto especially given his influence upon the rest of the lockeroom. Apparently, some are saying the title win came as a shock especially given the length of Joe’s reign and that Punk is turning into the ‘Triple H’ of the Indy circuit.

Hasn't Joes run with the title been more 'Triple H' than anything? regardless keep up the good work
