So, the final episode of Robotics;Notes was

kinda meh. I feel like it was lacking in tension in some way. I dunno, something was a little off for me.

I liked it, sure, it could have used more tension, but I think it was a good way to end the series.

A good series, overall. But it dragged at points.

I'm sticking with this Kai watch-through. Thoughts so far:

I never said I disliked the cleaned up animation, I mean really, why would you? It looks great. I hate a lot of the edits but I have a feeling that's all on Nicktoon's part. I really love most of the script rewrites. The lines seem a lot more fitting. The scene with Piccolo telling the gang he's taking Gohan flows better and seems a lot more natural.Though some things like changing the length of Snake Way just seems like change for change's sake. Gohan's voice still irks me as he doesn't sound anything like kid Goku now. I'm really looking forward to Piccolo's death speech to Gohan to see how that comes across as Piccolo is my favorite character and that's probably my favorite scene of his. The lack of Faulconer music isn't really jarring right now as his best and iconic music didn't really start till later in anyway.I hope this cuts out most of Gohan's little adventures during his 6 months on his own like the waste of an episode with the robot in the desert. Another voice thing that's bothersome is Mr.Popo's but hey, at least he's still black. Apparently some people are bothered by Bulma's voice but I'm not really fussed by it but that might be because it's similar to TFS's Bulma.

Thanks to Ruki putting the show back into my head I've been looking into Inuyasha The Final Act.

God I hate voice changes more than anything.

Aku no Hana, Arata Kangatari, Kakumeiki Valvrave, Red Data Girl, Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) and Suisei no Gargantia are on my to watch list for Spring 2013. I'll drop anything I can't really stick with and pick up anything that does well that I didn't expect to like, but I'll be honest - Attack on Titan is where my main interest lies.

On top of those there's Karnavel that just started up. Watched the first episode with Lorina today... I like it, it shows a lot of promise. I'm looking forward to Attack on Titan more than anything though myself, it sounds really good.

... so Aku no Hana is really strange. Like, uncomfortably strange. I like it. Never has so little happened in a first episode yet still been able to keep me as interested as it did.

We also just started on Hataraku Maou-sama, which is a show about one world's Satan escaping through a portal into our world and being forced to adjust to living here until he can regain his powers and go back. It seems like blends of serious and parody and so far I love it. Probably will lean more into parody down the line, but I like the humor so far.

Episode 1

--Interesting art style. Not what you'd normally expect at all, kinda creepy really.
--Okay, people are walking.....and walking, and still walking.
--Ah, the shoe cubbies, don't see that too often.

--....And the intro...thirteen total episodes.
--And a very bland entro thus far.....might be skipping this in future installments.
--Yeah....creepy art It's like they shot footage of an actual class and traced footage over it.
--Ok, so Saeki is the obvious crush.
--Volleyball in bloomers.....this would be fanservice for me if it werne't for the art style (yes, I'm going to bitch about this).
--Ah, he's in that spot that every male protaganoist in high school ever sits in
--Halfway through, nothing uh, interersting has happened. :\
--I take it he liks to read. That's a fuckton of books.
--Are we honestly going to see this guy's whole daily routine? I will protest if we get a shower scene

Also, I've been watching Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, aka "Oreimoe", aka "There's no way my sister can be this cute!" A 17 year old high school student has sort of that blah relationship with his younger 14 year old sister. She's a model and a perfect student. One day she drops a DVD, and inside...is an eroge.

It turns out she's a closet otaku, and hilarity ensues. In spite of the title, it's not incesty. I'm mainly watching this because the second season is premiering, so I'm going to have to go with that.
