What was this game called?

It was an amiga game but it might have been on other things i dont know. You were this guy with a sword and you had to go across killing bad guys and when they died their ghosts rose up off the screen. It was a platform game. There were bosses. I not sure what else i can say really. The first level was an outside level i think. I also think you could buy stuff from a shop on it or something. Not played it since I was a little kid.

I don't remember ghosts rising up in Alex Kidd? Your ghost rose up when you died, but the enemies just disappeared on the spot didn't they? Also, I don't think that was ever on the Amiga.
