Coming March...

The Gaslight Anthem w/ Frank Turner and Polar Bear Club

HOOOOOLY!!!! FUUUUUUCK!!!!

Only two dates announced so far. Norwich on the 2nd and Dublin on the 5th.

I honestly can't think of a gig which has so much 'sing along' potential. By the time Gaslight take the stage your voice will be fucked!

Also, in unrelated news, The Get Up Kids are apparently having their reunion show in Kansas on Sunday. :D

Who will actually go to Norwich for this?

People from Norwich? :shifty: They're scared of real civilisation.

There's going to be more dates, it hasn't been 'officially' announced yet, those two dates have only been announced by the venues (There'll be more, a lot I presume, given that Norwich is a date) and Frank Turner has confirmed that he and Polar Bear Club will continue on as UK tour supports (supporting Gaslight's Europe tour the month before).

Get Up Kids show went ahead. :D OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!! Setlist was;

Holiday

Action & Action

Valentine

Red Letter Day

Out Of Reach

Ten Minutes

The Company Dime

My Apology

I'm A Loner Dottie, A Rebel

Long Goodnight

Close To Home

I'll Catch You

------------------------

Campfire Kansas

The One You Want

No Love

Mass Pike

Walking On A Wire

...yes...the fucking entirety of "Something To Write Home About", in order. I want UK shows...NOW!!! NOW!!!

I mean I love New Amsterdams, and they put on a great live show, and the other projects members of the band joined were great too; White Whale, Blackpool Lights (who just sounded like Get Up Kids would do if they continued on from "Guilt Show") and Reggie & The Full Effect...but man Get Up Kids are back.

Fuck this has made me listen to the Blackpool Lights album, fuck, I forgot how good it is. I think at the time I preferred White Whale's, was more proggy, but the choruses and catchiness of Blackpool Lights, fuck...it's awesome. "This Town's Disaster", get it!

For our very patience fans in Bristol, Dublin, Birmingham and elsewhere in the UK, you'll hopefully be pleased to hear that absolutely and positively YES, we will be coming to your neck of the woods with Frank Turner and Polar Bear Club in February and March next year. To bookend the continental European dates we've already announced with Frank and PBC, we are happy to confirm that we'll be playing these cities and dates:

February:

2nd Portsmouth @ Wedgewood Rooms

3rd Birmingham @ Academy

4th Manchester @ Academy 2

5th Bristol @ Academy 2

6th Brighton @ Concorde

8th London @ Shepherds Bush Empire (NME Awards Show)

March:

2nd Norwich @ Waterfront

3rd Nottingham @ Rock City

4th Dublin @ The Academy

Please spread the word, if you would. And we'll hope to see many of you on the road early next year (if we won't be seeing you at one of our three UK shows next week, that is)...

Take care!

:crying:

Needs more Newcastle.
