The best movie intros...

What are your favourite movie intros - i.e. the first couple of minutes of the film.

For pure attention grabbing arty genius it's A Clockwork Orange - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Su9eNg4T798

Also, Battle Royale - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LfJxyw0VmCE

I'm just a classical music whore and then the fantastic - it's a girl, the winner is a girl....AND SHE'S SMILING! Ack.

The groovy Jewish intro from Snatch - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=TXfdOgTWoxM

Shame that this upload has the subtitles for the stupid. When the opening credits roll you just know you're in for a stupidly entertaining caper movie.

One more, Apocalypse Now intro -

For a better submission, I am a fan of the SLC Punk opener. Red neck beat down followed by Punk Poster styled credits that set the town for the movie. Oh, and Matthew Lillard before he sucked donkey dick. Not a bad combination.

Casino Royale (the Daniel Craig one), just because in a relatively simple opening the manage to completely rewrite James Bond as a character.

Yeah, a lot of the Bond films have great openings. Casino Royale's is probably my favorite.

I thought of a few more films with good openings...

Citizen Kane

The Dark Knight

Goodfellas

Raiders of the Lost Ark

The Graduate

In the same vein as Snatch i love the opening from Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

Always makes me laugh, the hookey mockney slang and all.

Yeah that's a great intro. Ocean Colour Scene was a great choice and Jason Statham looked so young....In fact, looking it up, he was only 26 at the time.
