I guess the Lakers should cancel their parade plans too since they recently lost to the Cavs.

On a more serious note, the Knicks won't be legitimate contenders until they drop the hammer on D'Antoni. His refusal to "break the rotation" or coach defense are both killers. They were outrebounded 62-42 tonight and the only guys who got legit playing time off of the bench were an undersized backup PG and a 3 point specialist.

And just when people thought the Pistons couldn't get any worse, they take dysfunctional to a whole new level. Yesterday the Pistons played with a six man rotation due to Austin Daye, Rodney Stuckey, Rip Hamilton, Chris Wilcox, Ben Wallace, and Tracy McGrady missing the team shoot around for various reasons and ailments. It was leaked by an unnamed source that it was a "player protest" rather than all of these guys actually having legit reasons not to be on time.

So Coach Kuester goes with a six man rotation against the Sixers, and ends up getting ejected. The camera then catches Stuckey, McGrady, and Wallace laughing as Kuester is walking off the court following his second technical.

The teams ownership is in flux, but Dumars had a chance to trade Prince for Caron Butler and a first rounder, and didn't. That's a mistake, both were expiring contracts and it was the right move simply to get rid of a guy that doesn't want to be here and has openly feuded with the coach. Dumars (if he doesn't get canned himself after the new owners take over) really needs to gut this team and bad. There are only two guys on the team worth building around (Monroe and Jerebko) as the rest of the team is either not that good or just bad for chemistry. Unfortunately we are stuck with bad contracts (Rip, Gordon, and Villanueva come to mind) and probably not quite bad enough to fetch a top three pick in the draft.

It's sad how this franchise has fallen so hard after being such a great team throughout the 2000's.

Kuester should be fired, but this team should be blown up too.

I say suspend all 6 guys wihtout pay for a week. Sign some nobody's to 15 day contract, I don't even care. You have to send a message that this shit won't be tolerated.

According to Austin Daye he had been given a false report as to the time of the practice and actually did show up late, I'd like to believe that's true, cause I like that dude.

I like Monroe and Jerebko. I think Daye, Bynum and Maxiell can be solid bench contributors. And I actually Ben Gordon, though I hate his contract. Throw the rest of the team off a fucking bridge though for all I care. It's just embarissing to be a fan of these clowns.

LeBron came up tiny with the game on the line yet again. Even though we can't beat the fucking Cavs, we've beaten the Heat twice, the Bulls twice, the Spurs and the Thunder. So basically we're the anti-Heat in that we lose to the shitty teams and beat the good ones :P

I think Boston went herp derp there at the trade deadline...

Let's trade away this beast of a defensive center who's proven he can hinder guys like Dwight Howard/Andrew Bynum/insert big guy here for Jeff Green who is an undersized 4 who seems to have forgotten how to shoot and from what I've seen of him doesn't play stellar defense. If you want a big guy who can spread the floor surely there is someone else out there who can fill that role that you don't have to give up Kendrick Perkins for? Really dumb move there... I don't see the O'Neals being able to play defense against the NBA's elite big guys.

Charlotte's moves are all about building for the future, clearing cap space and building through the draft. I like the idea because they're awful, and also I like it because it gives Gerald Wallace to play somewhere good, depending on how Oden/Roy's knees hold up, but he has a better chance with Portland than Charlotte.

Also I don't think it's been talked about but one of the best deals I saw was the Washington/Atlanta one.

Atlanta receives Kirk Hinrich and Hilton Armstrong, Armstrong will just be a bench warmer, but Atlanta gets a decent point guard who is younger than Bibby and is also better defensively. And as far as I know without looking I'm pretty sure Hinrich is payed less, could be wrong though.

For Washington they get Mike Bibby who can play more of a mentor role to John Wall which I think is the best thing in this deal is getting Bibby to teach Wall things. They also get Jordan Crawford who could pan out to be a decent scorer/energy guy off the bench. Maurice Evans who last time I checked is a decent defender/energy guy when he isn't over-played. They also get Atlanta's 2011 1st round pick which will likely end up being somewhere in the high teens/low 20's.

The Nets/Jazz trade

Jazz grade : A+

Nets grade : If D-Will stays B-ish, if he leaves... F--

Maybe someone who follows the Lakers closer then me would be a better judge on the subject.....but I could also see Bibby being a good fit for the Lakers since they have struggled with the point at certain times during the season. But yeah, the Heat were the first team I thought about when I saw that he was released.

Yeah sources are saying Miami is the likliest team to get Bibby's services and it looks like Troy Murphy could be following him there too... Murphy is choosing between Celtics n Heat it says but he favors the Heat... Heat would then have to cut two spot to bring these guys in and the two candidates seem to be Carlos Arroyo and Jamaal Magloire for some reason...

Read all this over at espn.com if anyone wants to go there to read the articles...

Mike Bibby is ready to play the role on the 11 Heat that Gary Payton played on the 06 Heat, and good luck to him. Obviously he was only brought to Washington because 1) It's funny to see Kirk Hinrich appear like a somewhat valuable commodity in the NBA and 2) A veteran backup for a rookie is usually a good idea. Not wanting to play here obviously changed that, so buying him out and sending him on his ring-hunting adventure works out for both parties.

Watched the Wiz-Bulls game tonight. I am currently staring at the Bulls bandwagon and wondering if it's a good idea to hop on board.
