Civilization Thread!

I think it's definitely time to move up to Noble. I could've won that last game probably 300 years earlier, but I kept putting it off so I could win Diplo (which I did without needing to research Globalization). At any point I could've just marched the army that the militaristic City-States had given me onto any foreign soil and used my tech advantage to win. Time to move up a level!

So I conquered about eight of Russia's 18-19 cities before sending in my nukes at Moscow. When I took Moscow I won. I forgot that you only need to cap the original capital. I double-nuked Moscow and Single-Nuked Yaroslavl to cap them both over two turns. I could have just triple-nuked Moscow and won a turn earlier.

Still, total military victory at 2036. With Denmark, who, as i've said on numerous occasions absolutely stink. Never again.

I forgot the cap rule in my last domination game. Unless you're in modern age, you might as well take most of their cities anyway just to stop them spawning people.

Denmark is pretty awful from what I've seen (never played them).

Give me a recommendation for my first game at Noble. I'm thinking Poland or France would be pretty easy for moving up a level. Maybe China or Japan?

I actually really dug Austria. Warstria.

I am only on Warlord and I found that fairly easy, but an intriguing challenge. Noble isn't a difficulty on my settings, what number is that?

I'm trying to do Austria with the diplomatic marriage stuff, but that got really complicated as I have a hard time balancing everything at once. Managed to do it at one point though! Trying to break away from playing pretty much only as Japan.

I've already won a science victory as Korea. I'll probably go for either Continents or Pangaea with an eye towards a military victory. Maybe Shaka or Monty?
