Oh fuck guys! I had an idea! It's exactly the same as every other Coin-Op idea I've had, except it involves Pokermans! Plus, it means that we can play pretty much any version, Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Silver, Gold, Crystal, FireRed, LeafGreen, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, SoulSilver or, (if you're a bastard) Black or White!

Simple idea - every two or three days you must beat a gym. Simple as, then report back to the thread just to say what you've done and throw in some random discussion (y'know, because it's kind of the point). Will it work? Here's a report from our resident Pokémon expert:

So with that in mind - go forth and multiply (at a breeding center if your generation has it in or by using Double Team instead!).

SoulSilver for me! Just needed an excuse to restart that game

I won't restart SoulSilver (as I've worked too damn hard and cheated way too much with that game (cheating, in this instance, being me trading my Pearl game's Lv. 54 Garchomp to my SS game to help me beat Clair, and then trading a Gardevoir back for it to add a good Psychic pokemon to the team))

I might go with Pearl. Maybe Ruby.

I'm going to go with FireRed for this as I was looking for an excuse to play a Pokemon game again. I'll probably start off with Charmander just because I don't think I've used him in LeafGreen or FireRed as I used him in both Blue and Red way back when.

I'm trying to decide which region to do. I never got properly through SoulSilver and I've got minimal investment in it, but part of me wants to play in Hoenn since it's probably the one I've spent longest since playing (and it has some of my favourite Pokémon). Whatever I choose I'm going to aim for beating the first gym today.

And as always - I'm a fire starter!

I ended up going with Pearl; however, rather than choosing Water or Fire, the two starter-types I use the most, I decided to go with Turtwig. I saved yesterday after the initial battle against the Starlys, but haven't gone any farther.

On LeafGreen? It's made easier since Charmy learns Metal Claw at early levels, taking Brock out like the dirty little bitch he is.

Playing Pokémon Emerald. After telling some creepy guy my name and gender, I appear to be locked in a van of some sorts. Not sure where they're taking me.
