So as an experiment I made a secondary career mode, starting in MLS with New England and trying to get my player eventually to an nPower 1 or 2 club and try to bring them to the Premier League.

Despite making him too weak to be a starter (50 OVR)... he's still in the starting eleven for our first match. I was hoping to have him as a substitute but nope, not happening.

Oh well, I still have my virtual pro's career. And now I can build him up by playing him as a midfielder as I got to being a player manager (though my first act was giving myself the captain's armband I was promised last season )

Man the AI gave me so little to work with though. NO RESERVES AT ALL, and all but three of my substitutes are strikers and for some reason two GKs in the sub list and not just one. So my second act as player manager is to have better backs and midfielders.
