Found that out during my second game. Also doesn't help that there is no coherency whatsoever, as everyone prefers a different formation and you have little to no money to go get appropriate players.

Think I'd rather plunk down money on FM.

Try a 5-3-2 formation, the formation modifiers are pretty cheap to buy

The 4-4-1-1 we played last night with me and Hughes out wide, Dan up front with Myke behind made for some good football, if inconsistent results. It really needed a human CM though. It was good to have width without needing the front two to run the channels all game. It meant Dan was actually receiving crosses and through balls instead of putting them in.

Yesterday we used more wide midfielders than wingers. Had a good mix of crosses and play through the middle.

EDIT - But if we have the ultimate winger we'd be stupid not to use it...
