TEW05 Real World Update: April 2013

Recommended Posts

Again, no major changes this month, just the usual stat/popularity updates, title changes, worker removal, etc. Decent chance there will be some promotion changes for next month though. Suggestions are still welcome.

I just noticed that Lei'D Tapa is listed as a male.

Thanks for pointing that out, it's been fixed.

Great update as always tougie. Just noticed a minor change for next update - both the Bravo and Virgin1 UK tv channels have ceased broadcasting, might be best to delete these. Keep up the great work! :)

Thanks for the the info, pretty tough for me to keep up with channels from overseas.

I noticed you've got both Becky James and Becky Mason in there. They are one and the same person, she's now known as Becky Mason and also will sometimes act as a manager.

I've only actually caught her husband Loco Mike Mason once so can't help too much on his stats just yet. If I've got the time I'll try and come up with some.

- Rebecca Knox has signed wih WWE. Set her back to active on her profile & add her to NXT.

- Add the Championship Wrestling From Hollywood TV show to MavTV. Set the show to 1 hour instead of 2.

- Add the 'NXT Women's' title to NXT. They have a belt made already & it keeps the game from creating a 3rd title for NXT.

- Add the 'EVOLVE' title to DGUSA/EVOLVE as the second brands title.

WrestleMania weekend spoilers for DGUSA/EVOLVE, SHIMMER, & CZW

- AR Fox is the EVOLVE champion.

- The Young Bucks are the new DGUSA Open The United Gate champions.
- Cheerleader Melissa is the new SHIMMER champion.
- Ruckus & Blk Jeez are the new CZW Tag Team champions.

AJ Styles should probably be heel with something like the angry young man gimmick.

A news site in San Antonio says this weekend’s scheduled Lucha Libre USA show there has been rescheduled to ‘a future date’. (This seems a good idea, rescheduling to a past date never works out.) They’re refunding the tickets at point of purchase. The Lucha Libre USA site used to list tickets for Austin and Laredo for this weekend as well, but both those links are now removed (and Dallas and Chicago tickets have never been on sale.) The Austin show never had a venue, while the venue for Laredo show seems to have taken down the link to buy tickets (though ads are still on the site.) LLUSA hasn’t announced anything besides the San Antonio postponement, but this looks like they may be going away again.

From luchablog. At this point with as many hiatuses as the company goes on, it may be worth it to just chuck them and add a new promotion in their place.

I actually removed them a while ago, but was considering re-adding them as a part time promotion. I'll put those plans on hold now

And some title changes over the last few weeks:

John Cena - WWE Champion

Kofi Kingston - WWE United States Champion

Chavo & Hernandez - TNA Tag-Team Champions

Kazuchika Okada - IWGP Heavyweight Champion

Aja Kong & HIkaru Shida - OZ Academy Tag-Team Champions (add Hikaru Shida to OZ)

AKINO - OZ Academy Openweight Champion

Joe Lider - PdM Extremeo Champion (add him to Perros del Mal and change his AAA contract to PPV)

Ivelisse Velez - PWR Womens Champion (add her to CMLL, that's the company this title is assigned to, I don't know if that is correct or not)

Andy Leavine & Samson Walker - WWC Tag-Team Champions (I didn't find a Samson Walker in the data, so add him or set title to vacant)

Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Lance Archer - NWA World Tag-Team Champions (add them to NWA-RW on a PPV basis)

Matthew Justice - PRIME Television Champion

Moondog Manson - ECCW Champion

Just to let people know, the reason why certain guys in Mexico and Japan are on written contracts despite appearing for smaller promotions is so that the main rival doesn't sign that talent to a written deal. Unfortunately 05 doesn't have a feature that prevents say CMLL from signing Joe Lider away from AAA because he's on a PPA deal with Perros Del Mal as well.

So unfortunately I chose to sacrifice a bit of realism to make sure companies top stars are secure with their main company.
