Coachella live stream

Coachella is live streaming all weekend (and next) at: http://www.youtube.com/coachella. Not all the sets are playing, but tonight you got Metric, Passion Pit, Japandroids, Local Natives, Modest Mouse, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Purity Ring, Blur, The Stone Roses, Tegan & Sara, How to Destroy Angels and Earl Sweatshirt. (amongst others) So if you are gonna be sitting at home bored all weekend, good way to kill time.

I watched How To Destroy Angels' set this afternoon, which was just beautiful. Also checked out Sparks.

Am I right in thinking the stream is for this weekend only? Because if it's next week too I might make an effort to watch the thing live overnight (I'm in the UK). Too knackered to do it this weekend...

No they're doing it both weekends. Seems like they didn't last year and people got upset so it looks like they corrected that.

Will be interesting to see if broadcast the same bands next weekend. I watched Johnny Marr (good), Passion Pit (great), Japandroids (meh), Jello Biafra (meh) and Modest Mouse (disappointing). I tuned into Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Beach House and wasn't impressed.

I just been going back and watching everything the day after. Friday night I went a couple hours live, yesterday I went seven hours during the day, two hours live last night, and now an hour in on yesterday's rebroadcast this morning.

Yeasayer was pretty good. I can't just ever get into Portugal The Man, Spiritualized was better than I was anticipating, Benny Benassi breaking out John Legend was crazy, Give me a few more hours to comment on more stuff.

Sparks is gonna be the love-hate set of the fest. Personally, I hated it.


Cloud Nothings was solid. Tame Impala was looking solid too, but they look like they got yanked 10 minutes early.
