Are Romantic Comedies dead?

I still haven't seen it but talking about it made me realize that Jason Segel might be the guy to go to for quality ones these days. I know that got good reviews and then Forgetting Sarah Marshall was good, too.

I might get flak for this, but I also enjoyed This Means War, with Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy. I kind of think movies like The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up are romantic comedies disguised as raunchy comedies.

I didn't hate it but it wasn't super great, either. You could tell that Pine and Hardy were having fun not being so serious all the time, though, so that led to most of the fun.

EDIT: Yeah, Apatow's stuff are definitely romantic comedies.
