We've had a couple of FIFA tournaments in the last few years with a group stage too, and it's been played to a finish.

Ok, now that we have 8 players, any preference on teams? I would usually say for us to choose between 4 and 4.5 star teams, maybe taking some out. With that said, after the latest online updates I'm not entirely sure which teams fall into those levels.

I would also prefer to run two groups of 4, but we'd play 1 game against each opponent (so 3 group games), with the top 2 from each advancing to the semi's. But, if you guys would prefer to just run a straight knockout tournament (which wouldn't take us long, really), I'm happy to do that too. Let me know.

I can honestly say that I don't know them off hand, but I assume Leicester are? So, Leicester. No idea if updates have turned them into 4.5 though!

You might get them randomly assigned to you if we go with 4 star teams. 4.5 looks more likely at the moment as there's plenty of variety without one being too much better than others.

Oh, we're deffo doing randomly assigned?

That works, I guess, but I'd rather be able to pick teams based on our individual playing styles so we don't have to spend ages dicking around with tactics before each match.

They're correct as of the latest update. I'm okay with randomly assigned, my biggest concern is landing a team that I know nothing about and have no idea how to play with.

Prefer the look of those 4.5 star teams. 8 from that list should give us all a decent team to play with.
