I fucking love when rock and rap come together. I heard the non-Run DMC version of 'Walk This Way' for the first time earlier and I feel like the Run DMC version blows it out the water. The Jay Z/Linkin Park EP is one of my favourite things ever as well.

Bottom line, rock and rap mixed well is fucking great.

Listen to this playlist to hear Rap-Rock done right.  The Judgement Night soundtrack features popular hip-hop groups mixed with rock/metal groups, and the result was an incredible soundtrack

Its not a great cover, but Leo's facial expressions and movements during the video actually made me LOL a few times

Frank Zappa. He’s great, huge library to cover which can seem like a monumental task to just find what you like. Once you do though, it’s worth it. He’s a bit of everything really, and was definitely very different than others during his time (without being unlistenable which I think Captain Beefheart can suffer from).

Here, listen to this.

I loooooooove his early work with the Mothers of Invention!  Freak Out and We're Only In it for the Money are some of my favorite albums ever.

Yeah, probably was his best times but he did some great stuff after. Sheik Yerbouti is a fun album that I first heard when my uncle gave it to me. My friend is a Zappa nut so that was where I got my initial exposure to him.

He’s a really fascinating character in the rock world.  He was a great guitar player but also heavily influenced by composers. He was also a smart guy and a fun interview. He carved out a hell of a legacy without really catering to what was happening in the mainstream.
