  1. I've only seen the movie, so shush. I didn't get into Mitsuko's character at first, but after watching the movie two or three times, I've really grown to think of her as THE antagonist instead of Kiriyama. Kiriyama's a bit of a comic relief, to tell you the truth, just the way he runs around with the gun waving in every possible direction is hilarious IMO I really digged Chigusa in the movie over any other character, tho. I wish they'd given her more time on-screen.
  2. They played it live here in Finland on the 28th, and it was a good listen. Liked the cover version of "One" better, tho. And "Y'all Want A Single" rocks live
  3. I need that album I only got Porcelain now, which I bought recently. Alongside the Sparta album, I have bought: Deicide - Scars Of The Crucifix Deicide - Once Upon The Cross My Chemical Romance - I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love My Chemical Romance - Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge Static-X - Wisconsin Death Trip I had the money, so why not spend it... I'll stress this, I HAD the money.
  4. The earliest I can remember, I started listening to Finnish 80's & 90's rock music simply because that's what we had in the house. After that, came a heavy MTV phase, which has now gradually evolved and dumped me into a mismatched world of metal, industrial music (Static-X live = ownage), jrock, punk and "misc." Oh yeah, the Finnish rock is still there too.
  5. Deicide, those bastards Cancelled their show here in Finland for no real reason. And we didn't even get anyone decent to replace them, sucked nuts to listen to local death/black groups when you've paid for Deicide.
  6. Well, you wanted others, so... Rancid - Journey To The End Of The East Bay Rancid - Ruby Soho Refused - The Shape Of Punk To Come Refused - Liberation Frequency Refused - Summer Holidays vs Punk Routine Propagandhi - Todays Empires, Tomorrows Ashes Propagandhi - Haillie Sellasse, Up Your Ass
  7. "Perpetual Black Second" by Meshuggah.
  8. Tokyo Godfathers, one of the better anime films you'll see.

    Mad Season

Just to make sure... This is the same Mad Season who do Justice Pain's theme "I Don't Know Anything", yes?

    Metal

Epic metal would rather be power metal or "hero metal" in my opinion. You know, the "Now we're off in our shiny armors and swords to slay the dragon!" lyrics with 20+ minute quitar masturbation solos. Oh, add Nightwish to that list if you want epic metal.

    Metal

Testament and Exodus should be also good choices for trash metal. For a bit on the weirder side, I'd suggest acts like Deicide, Meshuggah and Poison The Well.
  12. Hmmm... Damn, I remember we have one of those DC/Marvel mixes with Dark Claw and Co, maybe I should pay a visit after work? Read it once, it was badass IMO.
  13. And that is why my WinAmp playlist > every goddamn commercial radio station everrrrr.

    How much

I buy CD's on such a rare basis that I have no qualms of spending 20 euros or more on one CD (example: the special edition of Chimaira's "Impossibility Of Reason" for 19,99€). Luckily, most of the CD's I'm actually interested in cost something from 9,99€ to 14,99€ in a specialized music store, so it's not that costy to get a CD I want.
  15. Can't say I have heard of any of them, but I'll check around and see if I can find anything. Thanks.
  16. This is fucking ridiculous, that's all I can say. Why don't we just start shitting in a jar every time we want to listen to a song, right? A stool sample should be the ultimate means of identification. Meatbags.
  17. A rather disturbing situation this is, then. I think the biggest names I've left off of that list are Napalm Death and Godflesh. I'm currently looking into buying some stuff from Bolt Thrower, Brutal Truth, Cephalic Carnage and Rotten Sound. Do suggest some more bands, I'd be anxious to dig a bit deeper into grind.
  18. Power metal? Dear god, not those freaks with greatswords and breastplates and 20+ minute quitar masturbation songs! I dig metal, mostly industrial and death (Meshuggah, Fear Factory, Lamb Of God, Cryptopsy), and also am a huge fan of hardcore punk and grindcore bands (Chimaira, Hatebreed, Poison The Well, Raised Fist, Refused, Stampin' Ground, Pro-Pain). I dunno why, I just dig the music when it's loud and aggressive. Nihilism and/or mind-boggling lyrics are always a bonus.
  19. That's acceptable, because Dave Grohl's the fucking man. Which, in this blasphemious thing we call reality, is not true. Lee ain't hot. Sandra Nasic, on the other hand, is rated "EH" for EXTREMELY HOT. Bow down before the Batshit Primates (AKA Guano Apes)
  20. Nothing screams "HARDCORE!" like the suicide photos of your lead vocalist.
  21. The Shape Of Punk To Come is a kickass album. Don't really dislike any of the songs by Refused, altough New Noise is not that spectacular. Rather, Summerholidays vs Punkroutine, The Shape Of Punk To Come, The Deadly Rhythm and Liberation Frequency pwn the shit out of it. And while we're on the subject of Swedish hardcore bands, what about Raised Fist? They're fucking badass if I ever heard one. *moshes to the tune of Illustration Of Desperation*
  22. Like a Finnish game magazine's poll showed... "The best female character in the LotR movies: Legolas"
  23. Names are good >_> Atleast way better than what the Norwegian trout metallists can come up with
  24. Nah, I'll stay with Chimaira, Pro-Pain, Lamb Of God and Meshuggah, thankyouverymuch. Altough, I did dig St. Anger for the very little that I listened to.
