I've put off GTA IV for now cause my room mate has it on his 360, and cause I don't have the money right now. I also can't afford Assassin's Creed atm, so it's in the "want but can't have" list. >_>

We have never had the same avatar. Same series, yes, but never the same avatar. Although he did make this one for me...and by make, I mean resize And by resize, he means cropped. Also, Trigun arrived in the mail today. I have a shitload of anime to watch this weekend. I got around to watching Petite Cosette two days ago though. I'm not sure what to say about it. I barely understood a thing, or at least not until the end where some things became clearer. All I really have to say about it is that it seems like an artsy series. I think it's mostly about imagery rather than plot.

So, I picked up Diamond today and noticed that route 213 was raining. Is this a random occurrence, only happens 11 May, or is it something else? Has anyone else had this before? EDIT: It's only happening in Diamond. I just checked my copy of Pearl, and Route 213 is still sunny there. EDIT EDIT: Bah. I've just read the weather article on bulbapedia. Turns out it is random for that route. Nonetheless it's something I've not noticed before. Sorry about that.

CG has not killed our imaginations. He even says in paragraph 3 that he envisioned Sandman differently. If anything, it's fostering our imaginations. CG killing suspension of disbelief though, is something I'm not sure about. I've never gone to a movie and expected every little detail to be spot on. While I do complement a films CGI for looking so realistic, I rarely say how shit it looks. How could I when I watch shows like Transformers: Beast Wars, and things like Appleseed. It would be incredibly hypocritical of me, and I'd like to think I'm not a hypocrite.

...From what I've read, it's meant to be an alternate telling anyway, so I expected things to be different.

I was going to stay until the end of the Iron Man credits, but chose only to stay until after the Iron Man music had finished. >_>

NEW AVATAR EPISODES! Boiling Rock Part 1 Spoiler: Click here to viewI didn't think there was anything too spectacular about this episode, but it was solid. I like that Zuko is seemingly becoming more a part of the group, and I like that they can do an episode with very little focus on Aang. Boiling Rock Part 2 Spoiler: Click here to viewAbsolutely fantastic. I'd say that this is the best episode of the season so far. It demonstrates the turning point of the war against the Fire Nation with both Mai and Ty Lee turning on Azula. There's also quite a few funny tidbits in there. The battle scene on top of the cable car was nothing short of awesome. Zuko and Sokka working together like that was something surreal. Part 1 was nothing more than build-up for this episode, and it did it's job very well.

Jason - The left image is stretched out of proportion and isn't properly blended with the right side of the graphic. I'm not a fan of the text either. Edge - The glowing outline around Edge is shite. The foreground pic is also not the best IMO. Once again, text is crap. I'm mainly referring to pixel text. Blending of the background pics was good in this one. Punk - Using the same bg pic twice on the same graphic was a mistake. Alternatively, I like the text and the gradient, even the blending. Morrison - Shit. Sorry, but the blending is bad, the text is bad, the black stroke around the main cut is bad. There's not one redeeming feature. Christian - I like the text, and I will say that the pixel text actually served a good purpose. On the other hand, the 3 images are far too similar, and they don't blend all that well into each other. Punk 2 - The second Punk sig sucks. There's too much distortion, you've used the same pic twice... again, one of the pics is out of proportion, and the blocky pixel text is back. Not good at all. I'd rather not mention the blending, though I'm afraid it wasn't done all that well either.

So I just finished watching Appleseed EX Machina. It's much better than the first. I couldn't find one thing about it that wasn't improved from the first. The CG was beautiful, many times I thought that it was real (most notably in far-away shots, although the rat did fool me at first). The Story became more easily understandable, and I think that because they didn't have to explain everything to do with new technology this time around, they were able to focus a lot more on character development, which is never a bad thing. Every scene was pulled off really well as a whole. I especially liked the scene on the shooting range. Finally, fight scene choreography, superb. (Y) Really good movie. I think any anime fan would be able to sit down and watch it, even if they weren't a Shirow Masamune fan.

So... this past weekend I had nothing better to do than play FFXII some more. I beat the Hell Wyrm and started the battle with Yiazmat. Yiazmat is not hard, he just has a shit load of HP. >_>

Play IX. I read the FFVIII guide and got into the mood to replay it (finally), and what I got was a shitload of boring gameplay. Story is fine. Gameplay is not made for multiple play-throughs. IX is way better. Your things are packed, take the boxes and get out of my house. CHEAP THIEVING BASTARD! THOSE BRIEFCASES ARE MINE! UNPACK THOSE BOXES AND PACK MY SHIT UP IN MY BRIEFCASES YOU WHORE!

...Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Elaboration: The movies (especially Innocence) are beautiful, and in a way that cannot be replicated. I'd much prefer it if they didn't even try. The series too has it's moments. I'd rather not see the name of such a fantastic anime sullied. If they do end up going ahead with this though, they need to use Japanese music only. Yoko Kanno is a goddess.

I went into the Lhusu Mines at that point and came out at level 72. Give that a shot. (Y)
