In R/B/Y, he gives you an in-game certificate (not an item, just an on-screen certificate) for completing the 'dex. There's been a guy like that in each game since, and now there's varying certificates for completing that region's 'dex and then the national 'dex (all of them). Where is that in Diamond/Pearl, cause I visited Oak, and he gave me a pat on the back and promptly told me to fuck off. There was no certificate.

Saw it today. Was pure awesome. I really hope they continue with a series of movies here as it blew me away. The casting was spot on too. Everyone did a fantastic job at bringing something new to the characters while also paying homage to the originals. The starship battle scenes were awesome as well. Very atmospheric, and it reminded me of Battle Star Gallactaca (sp?).

I don't want ports of the PSOne generation games. I want to be excited about an FFIX sequel.

FMA: B Ep 5 was substantially better than the rest of the series has been so far. Despite the fact that it's still retreading old ground, they managed to make it seem different enough from the corresponding FMA episode. The pacing improved too. Also, Riza is all kinds of awesome. "Why is he naked?"

BENJI. See here. Of particular note is the question about a sequel for any of the games in the series, to which Takeshi replies he'd like to see a sequel to FFIX. Yeah, it's not going to happen, but we can dream... right?

Oh yes, I remember Hilgigas, but at least Hilgigas is mid way through the story, fucking gigantic, and statistically you have a low chance of stealing from it. Baku is just a fucking asshole at this point.

So I still haven't made it very far in this due to work, mafia, and movies, so I'm not even in the meat of evil forest yet. Fuck Baku. Seriously, fucker won't hand over that Iron Sword or whatever the fuck it is that he has. I want it, he has it, he won't let me take it, and I can only attack him twice or he'll die. Conclusion, fuck the thieving system in this game.

There are 3 movies >_> The 2 movies you have are probably the ones with absolutely nothing to do with the cannon of the series. Watch the series first. Obviously series 1, then series 2. After that, try to download GitS: Solid State Society. It is the only movie within the series canon. The other 2, watch later. I can't say I particularly care for the first movie due to the overabundance of gratuitous nudity, and the animation style is completely different. The second movie is pretty good though.

I love that one, but I'm caught between it and Loss of Me/Roses of May.

Sorry for the double post but it has only just now occurred to me that the unnamed Knight of Pluto guarding the other tower on the opposite side of the castle is actually Blank. I feel silly for not having figured this out earlier.

Oh my god I love the sword fight in the play. I could do that part over and over and over again all night if I didn't have to work. Incidentally Benji, could you remind everyone (if you remember) at disc 3 to Spoiler: Click here to viewHead to the room to the right first up when they get to Oilevert. I almost always forget to do that, and as a result miss out on the Emerald that Stiltzkin sells you, which unless you have, you can't use all of Eiko's Summons to their full extent.

Ugh, I can't believe I just typed grottle instead of grotto. I feel kinda dirty. I haven't got around to starting this yet btw. I started watching Tsubasa Chronicle over the weekend and I can't stop. Definitely FFIX tomorrow though.

They are pretty, but I'd have to say my favourite place is Gizamalukes grottle where you fight Gizamaluke. The wall in the background has so much detail put into it that I actually want a proper print of it to frame and put in my room.

Yeah, it's not to hard, and the 10,000 gil comes in useful earlier in the game. Shall be starting this tonight after I get back home from work then. Curse you Benji >_>

In the original Resistance, as you're walking over the thin beams between 2 towers, you can fall off and land in a normally inaccessible area, the area where the chimera and the NPC resistance fighters are gunning it out. The Chimera that respawn in this area completely ignore you while you're there, and if you're good enough with your timing you can knock them into one of the mining towers as they respawn and watch them die from the gears. There's also a hole in a wall in the area that sends you under the level if you go too far deep into it.

Sorry for the double post but Tsubasa Chronicles is really fucking awesome. First romance in an anime that I've ever given 2 shits about. Only up to ep 6, but I'm loving it.

I don't know if I like this new series too much. I know its probably just because I've seen it all so far, and for the moment, there's nothing that's really new, but there are certain frames that are exactly the fucking same, and I don't like it. For example, when Ed is reading the black book with the ingredients for a human, when the chimera bites his arm and then he kicks it. It's not just familiar, but exactly the same. I presume it's to do with iconic frames in the manga, I just don't like it. And the pace is really too fast. They're trying to cram too much into 20 minutes.

I'm caught about this movie. On the one hand, I know it'll be complete shit, an utter bastardization of a bastardized franchise. On the other hand, I have a huge man-crush on James Marsters. There is nothing else making me consider the movie other than to see Marsters as Piccolo.

Ruki, you traitor, I thought FFIX was your favourite Or was that Momo? I do like you enough to listen to you, and luckilly I've got a save at Galbadia, meaning I'm past the fucking arduous intro/lessons, so it might be fun, may well start tomorrow. It was Momo. Poor, forgettable Momo. And play FFIX. We know the music is amazing, right? But just listening to the music is not enough. Play through and at the very least, get to Burmecia, and listen to the music, and the sound of the rain, and look at the ruin the city has fallen into, how depressing the scene is, and how well the music complements that. That is one of the main reasons I love FFIX, and the use of an Organ doesn't hurt either.

I can't say I've read the manga. I'm only going off what I saw in the first iteration of the series. The current pace makes it seem to me that they could do it in just the 13 episodes, but again, I haven't read the manga, and don't know how long it is.

After having seen the first episode just now, I think it might actually just be the 13 episodes. Pretty much every vital character was introduced, and a few non-vital ones made it in. The episode managed to reveal the war, Ed & Al's plans to visit Lior, hinted at Bradley's eye (or at the very least, him being more than normal), introduced the philosopher's stone and Ed & Al's quest for it and dissension amongst the ranks of Bradley's army due to reasons that point to his less than noble motives. Next episode looks to explain their pasts in it's entirety, so I think it's entirely possible that the entire series is only 13 episodes.

It follows more closely the events of the manga, seeing as how the first FMA series got ahead of the manga. They made this one to go with the 'proper' storyline so to speak.
