  1. 'Fraid I'm pulling out guys. I had an awesome idea for a comedic Monopoly plot, but unfortunately I just couldn't translate it into a graphic, not least of which because I wanted to avoid just using the cartoons. With that said, I'll say wolves needs to improve his spelling. >_> And is also who I'd pick to win. My problem with it is that it just looks like a graphic and not a movie poster, there's no actors listed, none of the annoying text at the bottom, not even a vague plot tease. Split: My problem with yours is the use of the Monopoly men to hide Statham, makes it not look believable as a movie poster at all. I'm not a fan of the text either. And my problem with idol's is that it looks like either a third rate indy film, or a porno. I just don't like the style of poster. It looks perfect for authenticity though.
  2. Spoiler: Click here to view But in all seriousness, I'd like to get involved to test my creativity, if that's all right that is.
  3. Started Fire Red again this morning. Chose Charmander, and in 5 hours or so, only got as far as Mt. Moon cause I'm trying to train everything evenly, or thereabouts. Not much has happened, but I dunno whether its the nostalgia, or the actual gameplay, but for me, it's held up well.
  4. Use CS4. You can get it off their website. As far as I can see there's not much different to CS2 tbh. Probably little things I don't use. The GUI is nicer though, and the windows come up in smarter spots than before. I only have one little gripe so far, and it just means 1 extra click, so I'm cool with it.
  5. Every good multiplayer game that I happen to own. >_> That's Burnout, LBP, MGS4 and Resistance 2
  6. Don't gil grind for everything, just buy stuff as/when you feel you need it, you can't use magic a huge amount anyway without wasting it (unless it's on a boss), so there's not a whole lot of point in grinding for stuff you can't use a heck of a lot. I have the PSP version which uses MP instead of that retarded 'so many uses for each level' thing. I actually can use my magic a fair bit before I run out of MP too. So, should I bother to get heal? I'd prefer to get Nulblaze, but heal has it's appeal too. How much does it actually heal by at about level 11? If it's less than Cure would on one person, I won't bother.
  7. It depends on what sort of game you play. I usually have Zidane, Steiner, Vivi and Garnet but that's just because I started the game with them. The party I have in my most recent game is Zidane (guaranteed 9999 hits with Thievery), Freya (guaranteed 9999 hits with one of her Dragoon attacks), Quina (Bonus healing if needed, guaranteed 9999 hits with Frog Drop), and Eiko (Phoenix, which is dead useful, keep all of your phoenix pinions - and Full-Life and Curaga, plus she can kick ass with Holy).
  8. Bah, gil grinding. This is the reason I quit playinjg FFI the first time, and also the reason I used to hate XII with a passion. So far I've only got Cura and Fira, just got to get the rest, most of which I'm not even able to use atm. Several hours of battles ensues I guess... after work.
  9. Favourite All-Round Character - Vivi Favourite Hero - Zidane Favourite Villain - Seymour Favourite Story - Final Fantasy IX And I haven't actually got around to playing yet but I'll edit in my progress in a few hours.
  10. Awesome. Just finished Star Ocean on PSP and was about to start pick FFI up again. Barring Star Ocean 2 coming out on PSP in Aus within the next month, count me in.
  11. So.... does anybody know what update 2.52 does at all? I checked the PS website afterwards to find out, but they haven't changed it from 2.50 yet.
  12. I'm kind of conflicted about this. The new tag match format was way better than ever before. I had no qualms with AI, the large annoying ref count numbers are gone (with an option to put them back up if you like them), the commentary was sound (a lot better than previous years in some ways, though lacking severely in others), and the core gameplay hadn't changed from the current formula, which I have to say is a good thing. But I can't say it really made me want to buy it. Entrances were the same, there's no noticeable graphical improvement, and despite moves apparently being reanimated (again), I don't see it. I dunno, maybe I'll need to see the Create Modes before I can commit.

If Appleseed did nothing else, it introduced me to Boom Boom Satellites. (I do actually like it though.)

    Fuck Sven. Creed is god.
  15. Oh wow. I started mine and then a storm rolled over and I was like "Hurry the fuck up" and it took forever, but not 4 hours. Also, in the middle of the install, the power went out, and I shat myself. Luckily all was well.
  16. All previously added features are included in the latest update... always. You'll only have to do the update the once.
  17. You only have to return the system, but I suggest returning the controller as well. Having a shiny new controller really can't hurt. The 2 games wouldn't have been covered under the warranty as they're not a part of the system itself. When mine died, EBGames replaced it with another 60GB SKU. I presume it was another one that someone else had returned and EB had fixed. Don't know if it would be the same case for you though. Like someone else said, just sign-in again using the e-mail and password you originally had. Also, have you tried backing up all your saves and the like and formatting the PS3. Might save you a bit of trouble, on the other hand though, it might do nothing.

So, Witch Hunter Robin and Gilgamesh. I need reasons why I should or shouldn't buy them. Anime I own: Appleseed Final Fantasy: Spirits Within Final Fantasy: Advent Children Fullmetal Alchemist Movie Ghost in the Shell Ghost in the Shell 2 Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society Howl's Moving Castle Origin Le Portrait De Petite Cosette Princess Mononoke Spirited Away Vampire Hunter D Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust Voices of a Distant Star Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 Fullmetal Alchemist Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2nd Gig Orphen Trigun Anime I'm in the process of buying: Appleseed EX Machina Evangelion Gundam Wing Final Fantasy Unlimited Trinity Blood Black Cat And I liked Eureka 7 too, but the collection for it isn't out yet, otherwise I'd be all over it. So, like I said, I need reasons why Witch Hunter Robin and Gilgamesh are or aren't for me. What you liked or disliked about them would be cool. Much appreciated.
  19. Bah, fuck you Yiazmat! I haven't touched FFXII since April because I didn't want to continue on with the Yiazmat fight. Today, I continued. I managed to get his HP down from 3/4 to about 1/3. I spent at least 3 hours doing that, maybe 4. And how many 1 hit KO attacks does this guy need. Death Strike automatically wipes out a party member, and on occasion, an ordinary strike will also 1 hit KO you. Having Yiazmat getting lucky and 1 hit KO-ing about 7 times in a row is not cool.
  20. SVR08 - I beat it, I don't play it aside from when friends come over, online is laggy as hell. Yeah, not cool. Devil May Cry 1, 2 & 3 - I bought them cause a friend recommended them. I played 1, I sucked at it, I got told 3 was a prequel and that it was well easier. Played it for about 5 hours, decided to turn it off, and haven't played again. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, I just have other games to play... and replay... and replay. Burnout Revenge - Burnout 3 was awesome. Burnout Revenge was not as good. Luckily enough, Burnout Paradise got way better. Animal Crossing - I don't have the patience for this game. I paid off my house, and that was enough for me. Haven't played in ages, needless to say I have a fair bit of weeding to do. Dragon Quest VIII - Didn't play it for very long. Decided I didn't like the animation style, and turned it off. I still want to play it, but I remember DBZ and it just stops me from opening the case.
  21. I don't like this "remove GBA slot" thingy either. One of the cool things about having the GBA slot is what sequels to old GBA games could do with their predecessors. I personally am still waiting for Golden Sun 3, and for it to have a feature that reads the Golden Sun 2 data from the GBA slot to continue your game properly on the DS. ...I can dream.
  22. I wants. I remember the original Wipeout, and it was so fun. I have no credit card though, so I can't buy from the PSN store.
  23. Not quite sure where to post this, so here it goes. >_> Just on Thursday, I got myself a shiny new Bravia LCD 1080p TV. My god I fucking love thee. With my old TV, there was a lot of stuff in shadowy places that I just couldn't see because it was too dark, and my TV was at max brightness. Now, everything is so clear, and beautiful. It's wonderful... ...and then I plugged the PS2 in, and I cried. FFIX IS MURDERED! The new Burnout update, fucking awesome. It's already revitalised the game for me. So much fun. Resistance online, people are assholes, and fuckwits. One hit kills is not a fun rule to play with. Not cool at all. It's practically impossible to play a game without the one hit kill rule. GTA online, I don't even know anybody on it, and I have so much fun just doing free roam. Good times.
  24. Fuck you Mr. Friendly Feather Circle. Fuck you and the 2 hours I spent trying to find you so that by the time I did, I'd already learnt practically everything. Fuck you. Despite that though, I'm doing a fucking fantastic job on this save file. Just about to go to Terra, and I just beat Quale, stole everything from him (including Ninja Gear and Robe of Lords), and everyone in my party has their best weapon (except Zidane) and all abilities learnt (Quina has 2 Blue Magics left, and Freya is missing one of her passive abilities. Not sure what it is, but I think I get it from the Minerva Plate). Yeah, I started posting my FFIX progress in here cause the FFIX play-through thread died. >_>
