  1. Well, Arsenal win it then. Lehmann saved a penalty from Scholes and Vieira scored the winning penalty. United fans can feel upset, they were the dominant team for much of the game, but, well, that's football.
  2. It should be a cracking game. Always is when it's Man Utd vs Arsenal. My prediction: 1-1 after 90 min, 2-1 to Utd after ET.
  3. For me, 'The Truth' is the only decent song in the album. The rest are poor.
  4. Milan haven't been in good form ever since their PSV game, have they? It's like 2 draws and a loss, yeah? Looks like Milan have quite a task ahead of them in Istanbul. And in La Liga, Barcelona has just won it after drawing 1-1 with Levante and Madrid drew 2-2 with Sevilla.
  5. A brillant season for Chelsea fans, no doubt about that. Favourite player: Frank Lampard Favourite Moment: Claude Makelele's penalty Favourite player: Frank Lampard Favourite goal: That Rooney goal Favourite player: Frank Lampard Most shocking moment: Bowyer/Dyer fight.
  6. Final Fantasy 8. The intro was just.....wow.
  7. Well, just a question for Man Utd fans, if (and it's a big if) you guys win the Premiership and/or CL next year, will you still hate Glazer? I don't suppose so, he might even become a hero. And Sir Alex Ferguson will be given a £20m-£25m transfer budget each season. That is not a lot for a club like Man Utd. I mean, look at how much you guys paid for Wayne Rooney.

    Smallville

I'm not an avid fan of Smallville, but I do watch the show from time to time. And for one reason. Kristin Kreuk.
  9. This can do no good for Man Utd. Glazer is no Abramovich, and he'll just put the (once) richest club in the world into debts. A poor season could now turn into a disasterous one. I've read that some Man Utd fans are planning to boycott matches and merchandise. IMO, this will do no good at all for Man Utd. If Glazer doesn't make a profit, he doesn't bear the debt, Man Utd do.
  10. Eto'o looks set for the pinichi award, but at the rate Ronaldo is going, I think he might just snatch it. And Barcelona's striking power is not only Eto'o, their main attacks, IMO, come from Ronaldinho. And he scored an absolute peach of a goal against Valencia.
  11. Well, Jose has said that he prefers 'team players' rather than 'superstars'. I have not seen much of Benni McCarthy, only when he was playing for Porto last season in the CL. He didn't really make a lasting impression, but I trust Jose. Although Adriano would be much better
  12. Even as a Chelsea [champions] supporter, I have to say that was the best performance I have seen from any team this season in the Premiership, maybe even in the world. And I don't care if Chelsea [champions] are not playing free-flowing attacking football like Arsenal. As long as we [champions] win something, I'm happy
  13. I've read that Madrid are monitoring the situation with Rio. Not too much of a surprise I suppose, but I think that the fans will feel betrayed if Rio do sign for Madrid, given how they stood by him during the drug test fiasco. And Gudjohnson showed Van Nistelrooy how to play as a lone striker. The 4-5-1 clearly isn't working for Man Utd.
  14. Well, Robinho can play a variety of positions: Striker, supporting striker, attacking midfielder, left winger, so he'll be useful on the bench. Some people might think that signing Robinho just to bench him sounds ludicrous, but I think it's best for him. He's still young, and needs time to adapt to La Liga. So, give him a season or 2 on the bench, and then start him when he's ready. And Joaquin is heading to Chelsea. Nah, actually, I doubt we can land him. His heart is obviously in Madrid, and when Figo leaves, Perez will certainly sign Joaquin to replace him. And I think this could happen as soon as the season ends. IMHO, Madrid's greatest weakness is their lack of depth in the fullback department. They have 2 superb full backs in Roberto Carlos and Michel Salgado, but there's no one else that is of sufficient quality to replace them. Having Raul Bravo as their second choice left back says it all really.
  15. Barcelona has said that they will only make one major signing in the summer, despite the media linking them to various players. It cannot be a non-eu player, since they have reached that quota already. My bet is on Mark Van Bommel. And Marca has reported that Perez will make *SIX* signings in the summer. 4 hard-working players and 2 players to fill the current gaps in Madrid. Robinho is almost certainly one of the six.
  16. FM2006 sounds awesome. I just hope that it lives up to the hype. I don't want a reoccurence of the unpatched CM 03/04.
  17. Although personally I would give Fergie more time to turn the squad around, if there really is a need for replacement, I think Paul Le Guen is the man to succeed. He has led Lyon to four consecutive French first divison titles, but has just quit the job. He is young, but immensely talented, and some say he's the next Arsene Wenger.
  18. The thing is, you guys have extra funds, but you guys don't have the CL incentive next season to attract players. And I think if Everton can keep most of their players, they will make it to the group stages. Rafa should play Stevie Gerrard in the central midfield. You can see why from the Arsenal game. In the first half, he was playing like a support striker, and was below par in his performance. In the second half, he improved, and so did Liverpool.
  19. Well, Arsenal's season arguably fell apart when they lost to Man Utd due to a Rooney dive. And now you guys have the chance to win the FA Cup AND finish above them. Sweet revenge, eh? Anyways, Fabregas was superb today. Hard to imagine he's only 17. IMO, if he continues to develop the way he has, he could be the best buy Wenger made after Henry.
  20. This is way too close to call. But I've said that Southampton will stay up, and I will stick with that.
  21. Makelele scored! Nice to see Makelele getting some recognition. He has been immense for us this season. The championship is won, but it's always nice to get a win.
  22. Gothic: 8/10. It is a great RPG. A few bugs here and there, but nothing major. And considering it's freeware(or is it abandonware?, anyways...), it's a damn good game.
