  1. Sky Sports says Hull have bid £6million for Fraizer Campbell and that Stoke, Fulham and Synderland are also interested. £6mil is a lot of money for a 21 year old with just 1 PL start to his name and I'm sure Fergie will take the money and run. They also say Wigan have recieved bids of over £16million for Antonio Valencia from Real and United. We need another winger and Valencia appears to fit the bill quite nicely so hopefully he'll choose us over Madrid.
  2. I would think that letting the minnows face off against the likes of England and Spain would be better in helping them develop than if you made them play others in their situation only. Having these big superstars come over and play in an actual competitive match will bring a lot of interest into the domestic game from people who would not care less about their countries football team otherwise. The main point is that unless you change the sport at grassroots level in these countries then it won't improve at all but through playing against the big nations, they might be inspired to do so. It's a shitty system and one of the big reasons why I don't take much interest in the international game but I can understand why it's in place.

    Big Brother 10

Just watched this on E4 now. Cairon is my favourite so far and Sree and Saivash seem good too. And that Allied Carpets line was gold.
  4. Thats much better than the monstrosity with the laces. Nike have used that kit before with Mexico haven't they? EDIT: For Man Utd's kit.
  5. That is horrible. And that line across the stomach makes it look like Saha has saggy breasts.
  6. Is it just me or is the lineup for FC CM not working. It comes up with 'Invalid lineup. Make sure all players chosen are in the selected depth chart'.
  7. I find it funny that this time it was actually Neil Warnock who fielded the ineligible player.
  8. I hope Man City come and drag the prices even higher now. He won't go to City but it'd fun to see Abramovich priced out of the market.
  9. Wow, SRR might as well just start his own team up with all the players he's created.
  10. What EWB teams are running this season? Rodriguez Umbongo needs a home.
  11. Ronaldo interviewing himself was pretty much the only thing I enjoyed all night.
  12. In fairness to Bruce, there's not much more he'd really be able to achieve at Wigan. He built a good team at the beginning of the season and then had to sell two of his best players in Palacios and Heskey and now Valencia looks set to be off as well. At least with Sunderland, he could build a decent team, keep hold of his better players and have the chance to move on further than he would have been able to with Wigan.
  13. Fair play to Barca. Every aspect of their game was better than ours overall and they deserved the win. Our midfield was outclassed, our defence was awful and our final ball was missing all game. Iniesta absolutely destroyed us. We definitely miss a Hargreaves-type player. It's been evident all season and hopefully if he gets himself fit, we can win back the trophy next year.
  14. I'm excited/nervous as fuck for tonight. I see it being the same 11 as against Arsenal but with Giggs in for Fletcher. With all the talk about it being Ronaldo vs. Messi, I've got a feeling Rooney will outshine both if them tonight. My prediction is we grab an early goal, defend for much of the game, they equalise and then Tevez scores late in the game to win it 2-1.
  15. Apparently Niall Quinn turned down a £20mil bid for Kenwyne Jones from Spurs. I don't know who's crazier, Quinn or Spurs.
  16. Fuck, I finally score and the team ends up losing 7-1 .
  17. Ideally I want someone who understands and embraces the principles of the club. Someone who will bring through the young players as well as playing an attacking, entertaining brand of football in the way that Fergie and Busby have both done. I think that if Solskjaer can go out and get some experience then he will be a great candidate in the future but thats still five years from happening at the very least. Hopefully Moyes can crack the big 4 in the next couple of years and have a shot at Champions League football or at least get somewhere in the Europa League.. I think of he manages that then he'll be our next manager for sure.
  18. Everybody should wake up to 'Don't Worry, Be Happy' by Bobby McFerrin. It's guaranteed to make you start the day in a good mood.
  19. Martin should be playing on the left wing and Welbeck up front. Disappointed Fabio and Tosic aren't playing. I've heard great things about Tosic in the reserves so this would be a good occasion for him. Nice to see Brown back as well. I still think Ferdinand will play in the final.
  20. Why are Liverpool not letting Hyypia start in his last game for the club?
  21. Anyone with that name has to play for Arsenal.
  22. I hope Wolves are worse than Derby. Mick McCarthy deserves it after his attempt at commentating at that one World Cup.
  23. I can't see Newcastle even getting a result against Villa. Hopefully we'll beat Hull and then Villa thrash Newcastle quite heavily so that they can't pin their relegation on any scapegoat except the players. I'd like seeing some new teams in the Premiership that can establish themselves over the course of a few years (Hull, Stoke and hopefully Burnley). And I have to laugh at anyone who says Man Utd will play a 'weak' team. Weakened definitely but its far from weak. Almost every player will have international experience at either senior or under-21 level. It says a lot when Hull will be missing a top striker for them in Manucho yet he's probably the 7th or 8th best striker we have at the club.
