  1. I think the last Rangers game I watched was against Eintracht, but on paper it doesn't look too bad. Maybe he'll blag his way into another job on the back of his stats.
  2. To play a bit of devil's advocate; while he comes across as a cretin, he actually had a good win percentage and his 'poor run of form' has been losing to PSV, losing 1-0 to Ange's Celtic team and losing to Aberdeen after a red card. If I'm getting the sack on FM after that so early in the season right after beating Real Bétis, I'd be raging. I think he has promised too much and failed to meet his own lofty goals, otherwise it seems pretty harsh. I'll miss the banter about his mole and him being a Poundland Danny Dyer. Will be interesting to see what happens with his new signings like Danilo.
  3. Watching Fiji never fails to entertain me.
  4. Uruguay with a great comeback win, and Samoa really pushing Japan (hugely entertaining with my Samoan colleagues). I love this World Cup way more than previous.
  5. That Kinghorn punt and run was amazing, just a shame he never finished it. Van du Merwe is a beast, we should have to pay South Africa every time he plays.
  6. Here's a YouTube playlist with about 30,000 gaming tunes, mostly remixed or reorchestrated. Why make it? Because I can. Kraigy's mahoosive combined gaming remix playlist (just hit 'shuffle', it'll take a few seconds but beats using YouTube directly) Also helps me when at the gym or studying. It's about 99% instrumental, some (good) vocal covers too. There's also some classical songs in there, since they also appear in games and I wanted to include them.
  7. For anyone who has played ME2, this is just...amazing.
  8. Delighted for Fiji, they're a genuine force at the moment. Wish I'd watched that one live.
  9. Thoughts you fellow nerds would enjoy this.
  10. Uruguay surprised me, some silly mistakes being stamped out and they could be a banana peel team. Got to watch the replay with my patients and it was the most we've chatted about a team. Sad for Namibia getting trounced, I was hoping they'd give NZ a bit more trouble. Lienert-Brown's try was a tremendous bit of creative play, bellows of delight at that from the locals here.
  11. Not loving the score but SA deserved the win. *rips up RWC schedule*
  12. Argentina have been disappointing, but England have also played well. This is the first match I've been able to watch live (mostly), but I think I picked the wrong game. Weirdly one-sided. That line-out sums up Argentina today.
  13. I felt this deserves a share. A single Zelda remix that goes 70 minutes and spans almost the entire series. Outrageously good.
  14. The best thing about this is that I still think Scotland have the credentials to fuck this up. So happy for the hardcore Tartan Army guys, they deserve this after years of constant support and ambassadorship.
  15. Just doing my usual "well ackshally, Scotland hosted the first international" thing I do for rugby/football. Hard to dispute rugby isn't English as fuck when it's named after an English town but I always give it a go. That being said, Ireland are a good bet, no disrespect intended from my laughing react. I'm especially salivating over France/NZ and SA/Scotland. Just hope the Boks don't absolutely kill Scotland's confidence, they were deadly against the All Blacks. I've also adopted Fiji and Tonga since a lot of my pals in NZ are from there and their love of rugby has me so invested in this World Cup. It's infectious. Scotland/Tonga is a huge fixture on my list for that reason. Also, Ireland/SA should be a cracker. And I always have a soft spot for Japan. Scotland has taught me to enjoy the underdogs' tenacious/embarrassing defeats.
  16. What a goal to win such an even game! Sad to see the World Cup end for co-hosts NZ, but we got some great games over here.
  17. I really can't tell you how shite it is hosting a World Cup in the middle of winter.
  18. I feel like her earthly struggle is over. She reminds me of several of my exes, in many good ways and bad. I hope she is at peace. I'll always respect her for standing up for what she believed in.
  19. Maybe people from Coatbridge will actually support them if they can win a few games in a more competitive league for them. Been a long, long time coming for a lot of the League Two teams. The end of the SWPL was a hell of a ride, Glasgow City beat Rangers with a 92nd minute goal to retain the top spot while Celtic had beaten Hearts 2-0 to hop to the top of the league, thinking they had won the title. The day started Glasgow City 80, Rangers 78, Celtic 78 with the Old Firm teams with much better goal difference than City and ended City 83, Celtic 81, Rangers 78, so Celtic have the Champions League spot. Dramaaaa~! Also, Airdrie have beaten Hamilton Accies to take their spot in the Championship via the play-offs.
  20. The Finnish song is like a weird hybrid of PSY and Rammstein that blossoms into a Katy Perry tune. I've been playing it all week. Loreen was great though, I don't see the issue with the song. Not quite Euphoria, but still a pretty good tune. I liked her live performance box stage thing, and she probably had the best voice of all the entries.
  21. I've only seen the highlights sadly, but Queen's Park haven't looked deadly since selling their captain (and leading goalscorer) to Ross County mid-season. Part of me thinks they self-sabotaged the title win because we'll never survive in the Prem without a permanent stadium and while still restructuring following two promotions. Queen's Park weirdly climbed the tables faster than Rangers did. Both teams were also attacking with abandon. I can see Ayr doing it, but time will tell.
  22. Partick hammered QP 0-4, winning 8-3 overall. Really awful defending and looked like they were giving up after the second goal. Crazy season though. Partick face Ayr, then the winners faces the Prem club who slot in at 11th (probably Metalman's Killie). An Ayrshire derby over relegation/promotion would be a sight. However, there's still a big Kilmarnock/Dundee United Premiership game coming up that could be the real decider for who goes into the playoff. It's the Old Firm game today, so I'm curious how that unfolds. Celtic should be able to horse Rangers the way morale is, but who knows. The title's over so this is gonna be more about the rivalry than ever.
