Yeah, that whole episode was amazing, but hour 2 might be one of my favourite episodes ever. That Bret/Zeke convo was great. -
Documentaries is fun. A few recommendations. If you haven't watched Searching For Sugarman, it's my top pick. Such a great movie. It's about a failed American musician who became a huge hit in South Africa as anthems against the apartheid. The movie tries to figure out what happened to him. Top stuff. I watched The Barkley Marathons a little while ago. Fun, quirky documentary about this insane marathon where only really the guy who created it knows the route. There are all these silly rules about how to enter it and prove you ran the course correctly. The Imposter is also great. A conman tricks a family into believing he is their child who was kidnapped years earlier. If you want to be absolutely kicked in the guts, you can also watch Dear Zachary. A man is killed by his ex-girlfriend while pregnant with his child. His best friend begins to create a video for the unborn son to tell the story of his father. Heart-wrenching, but an absolutely fantastic documentary.

Four years is probably a year longer than I thought Cecil would get. It might be a little too much, but I'm happy for him. The thing about the Morales deal that I don't like (more than it limits negotiations with Edwin), is how much Morales can play the field. And when he can't, it really limits Gibby's use of the DH spot. Donaldson played his fair share of games there, you'd think it be nice to throw Tulo in there a bit too. But Morales will pretty much occupy that slot every day.

Amistad felt really long. Took me two sittings to watch it. Enjoyable film, though. I don't know how I feel about Matthew McConaughey. I feel like I have a hard time enjoying him when he's playing a more serious role. Hopkins as John Quincy Adams was great and you can never go wrong with some Morgan Freeman! What's next!? This is fun.

I was thinking about watching Amistad (though mostly because it's one of the few movies on Canadian Netflix that fit the category).

Watched 12 Angry Men yesterday. Pretty brilliant.

But even so, he didn't have to do what every other starting pitcher had to do, which is face every batter in the lineup at least 3 times. Britton came into games and faced guys once and sometimes didn't face the best batters on the team. Britton was incredible. His ERA+ was 827! But still, he didn't have to do what a starter did.

That was a pretty fun pre-merge overall. After the swap, not a single player in the original tribe minority stayed (CeCe, Figgy & Michaela were all in the majority). What is a bit upsetting is that all but one of the people who went home were women who were a racial minority. -

Well yeah, her play in the Lucy exit was bad. I don't think telling Ken about the Legacy Advantage was that bad, although it was interesting that she ran to Ken before David. I'm most interested in what Michelle does next week. She must see that she won't be in the numbers if she lines up with Jay/Taylor/Will, but I'm not sure there's another opening for her anywhere else. Re: Alyssa Edwards: -
