That is correct. Palau is fun.

I don't love 9, for sure. But there are some interesting characters in there. Eliza is fun (even if she's gotten on my nerves on stuff like RHAP), Chris is fine, Twila is funny. It's nothing stellar, but it's decent. 10 is really good. After that there is some stuff you have to slog through to get to 15 or so. There are a couple of really great players thrown in there in the meantime though, which might be its saving grace.

I'm excited to see what Pompey can do this year. He might be a good option to play left if he can hit during spring.

That's mostly because some people didn't want to come back. Colleen and Elisabeth are two that didn't want to come back, IIRC.

Minor moves sure, but I'm liking the Jays bullpen additions. JP Howell and Joe Smith are nice pick-ups, especially this late and considering how much relievers are making these days.

Yeah, that's true. Sandra is amazing. I also had a huge crush on Ryan O (maybe also this his nickname sounded like Rhino). It was honestly close up there with my crush on Colby. And like, re-watching it, I have no idea why. I also didn't think Savage was a dick his first time around (I didn't love the Outcast twist but I've learned to love that Survivor isn't always fair). My opinion of him would change later on, mind you.

That shit was huge at the time. If they tried to do anything to prevent something like this happening again, they'd be insane. It's one of the most memorable moments in the history of the show.

I'm pretty happy with this cast. I love big personalities, even if they suck at Survivor. There are some folks who are not big personalities (looking at you, Sarah Dawn Thomas). But I will give Survivor credit after Kelley Wentworth's return. I did not think she would be great coming back in and she was lovely. Ozzy's my only person really who I don't want to see back, but at least it will be fun to see him voted out again.

Sounds like they are also looking at getting rid of the pitcher having to throw four balls to intentionally walk someone and raising the strike zone above the knees. Hate the idea of the extra runner. Lots of leagues do it and I get why, but I just think it shouldn't be included in the majors.

Wow, that show. On one hand, it's shitty that it will be so long before it returns. But in this era of tv, it's not like there aren't a buttload of other things that you can preoccupy your time with.

I'm actually not too pissed about the Encarnacion move because I don't think anybody expected his market to crash like it did. They even offered him more than the offer he eventually got. I don't love the Morales move, but I see why they did it. However, the market was so loaded with power 1Bs/DHs that I wish they had held back just a bit. Trumbo is still out there and while he will cost more, would surely be a better fit on this team than Morales. I actually quite like the Pearce move. He can shuffle around the infield and if he can stay healthy, he'll be good. I think I have a lot more faith in the front office than most Jays fans do at the moment. Their front office is filled with Cleveland people (who just made it to the World Series) and some Red Sox folk (Cherington is the head of scouting). Cherington had some good draft picks/signings while he was GM (Bennetendi, Moncada). The Jays farm system is not great right now. But Shaprio and Atkins are playing a longer game than some people want. I think they want the team to be sustainable. Have guys come up through the system and fill in gaps through free agency. And if you can do that, you'd be in decent shape considering how much payroll flexibility the Jays could have.

I was thinking about at least doing a re-watch of all the originals seasons of next season's contestants (my brother is planning on doing it too). The early seasons were so fun to go back and re-watch. There is something so innocent about them. Elisabeth was adorable in Australia. Her and Rodger were so cute. There is a really great write-up of Jerri & Colby's relationship throughout their time playing together that is worth the read. I was also just super into Colby and would probably still rank as one of my favourites of all time. I don't remember much about Africa but there are some fantastic characters. Ethan, Lex, T-Bird, Tom, Clarence all spring to mind. Frank & Brandon's relationship is great too and the early stuff of the older crew versus the younger crew was interesting at the time.
