I think it's a little different in baseball when only 4 teams in your league make the playoffs. That 1999 team is a 97 win team.

While I think it's going to be a bit frustrating to have a 90 overall guy say he expects to be the ace when you have a 99 and a 95 in front of him. I sort of don't mind it though since if a guy is ranked 90 overall, you'd think he thinks he's good enough and wants to start as much as possible. I think the fact that your team should theoretically be good should balance it out as they should be quite pleased with the team's record. I'm more worried about if my ace goes on the 15 day DL and comes back. If I need to slot him in the four spot in the rotation because of when he returns, he's going to complain that he's not the ace of the team. That would be a bit frustrating.

Yeah, what exactly is the logic behind voting out Debbie and not voting for Julia. Were they worried that an idol would be played for Julia?

First episode of Horace & Pete was great. So different from anything I've seen before. There were parts that were incredibly uncomfortable to watch though. Edie Falco was amazing.

Kyle (or Jason, I dunno) said in his pre-game interview he wanted to play like Russell. I actually really liked Jenny, but I was hoping they were going to vote out Alecia. That tribe is a mess. Tai and Caleb's relationship is adorable. I love it.

Also, man, way to build trust in your tribe. You have to know there's a swap coming at some point and if you're stuck with Alicia on a tribe at some point, you're not in a great spot. I guess they might have thought either he or Alicia had an idol but that didn't seem like the greatest play on their first boot. Just keep Alicia thinking she's tight with you. I really like the Floyd signing. If he can avoid injury, he's actually been good the last two years and in the past five, only had one where he was worse than league average. He could seriously compete for the 5th starter job and win it out of spring training. Speaking of spring training... it's not that far off!

Downloaded this last night. It's pretty fun.

Blue Jays fans have been the same all off-season. We just had an amazing season, the best one in Toronto for 20 years. Within a few months of the season ending, everyone seemed frustrated. Does it suck that Anthopolous left? Yes. Is it kind of shitty to see Price in a Red Sox uniform? Yes. Are Jesse Chavez, Marco Estrada and JA Happ a pitching staff that will be feared? Probably not. But our offense was the best in the league last year and should be just as good, if not better. Hard not to be optimistic that it'll be another fun season.

I might have to check it out then. I like Bill Burr, but all the ads made it look like they would make vulgar comments and use the fact that it's based in a different decade to hide any criticism that the joke might be offensive.

Only one I'm really fussed about it as FOTB. I didn't vote for it because I've only seen the first season but it's amazing. I love Jessica and Emery.

Really suprised Coach made it in. I don't think he's the worst choice - he was hugely entertaining in Tocantins and I even liked him in HVV. More surprised to see him in over people like Tina and Colby.

I find Jeremy fascinating. He's trying to hide being this big alpha male top dog while also trying to hide how emotional he is and what he's fighting for. He doesn't want to be the leader who gets picked off and he doesn't want anybody to know that he's got a baby on the way. He played hard in San Juan del Sur and got booted, yet his name never gets thrown around. He saved Stephen with an idol and still, his name doesn't come up. I think of everyone left, he's playing the best game out there.
