I’m actually fascinated on seeing what the NY numbers end up looking like for the World Series. Any other year I think NY baseball fans would tune in regardless of matchup, but it was just such a bitter end for the Yanks that I won’t be surprised it most of their fan base say also say “fuck it” and don’t bother.

Juan Soto is better than Bryce Harper was at the same age and that’s a scary thought.

Adam Gase had to be the worst coaching hire of the offseason. I'm not saying that teams should've been breaking down the doors to hire Todd Bowles, Vance Joseph, or Steve Wilks...but that those guys didn't even sniff an interview while Gase waltzed right into another job tells you a lot about the institutional bias that still exists in the league. Gase got another chance because he's a well-connected white coach who also happened to coach Peyton Manning...aka the guy who pretty much served as his own offensive coordinator anyway. Genius!

Pats get another shutout. That's the fourth time in seven games this season in which their defense did not allow an offensive score. And that's with them playing their second and third stringers to finish out these games. I don't even care that they're playing a heaping helping of crap teams. That's just absurd in today's NFL. Any backups they might have hitting free agency next year are probably going to be cashing in on some nice paydays from half the league.

Apparently this only happens to CAWs added to an already existing Universe mode file. If you start a new Universe, the CAWs are fine. Which means you have to download all of your CAWs first and essentially can’t change your roster. Absurd.

I normally roll my eyes at any actual 16-0 talk halfway through the season but...it’s surely in play for this Pats team. At best there’s like three games left on their schedule that might give them a hard time and with their defense playing the way it is...yeesh.

I believe Kenny and Cody have both said they'd love to effectively make an AEW version of No Mercy, and supposedly the entire roster got scanned at All Out for use in a potential game, so fingers crossed.

Daniel Jones has very serious ball control issues. He has INTs where he seems to force the ball and throw it right at the defender, and you can’t chalk those up as rookie mistakes when Kyler Murray isn’t making those throws. But even more concerning is he’s fumbled in every one of his starts this year.

I don’t know if 2k’s exclusive WWE license or EA’s exclusive NFL license bothers me more. No incentive for either party to do anything but put out a barely updated, glitch-ridden game every year because they continue to sell enough to turn a profit.

I don't know what Boone was thinking. You can't let the other team's best player beat you if there are other options. Pitching to Altuve with two outs and Jake Marisnick on deck was just asinine. Yeah it's their first appearance as a franchise, including the Expos years. I have to root against them on principle. They're a division rival for one, and if they win it'll mean I've seen the entire NL East win a title except for my own team. That said, Harper watching them win a title without him would be hilarious so at least there's that.

CC Sabathia's been pitching with a bum right knee all year and it appears to have just given out on him. Had to be removed from the game and limp off the field with the trainer. Got a standing ovation from the fans and both teams as everyone realizes that even if the Yankees mount a series comeback, he's almost certainly not going to be able to participate any further. Unbelievably shitty way to end such a great career, yet it's also probably fitting that he fought through injuries right up until the very end. Dude was a warrior.
