  1. The sad thing is the Giants pulled Eli as the starter right as he fell to .500 in his regular season career. As bad as the Eagles have looked recently, the Giants are far worse and haven't beaten the Eagles in years. So now Eli gets to lose to Philly one last time to go below .500 Yet if he manages to pull off an unlikely victory and mess up Philly's season in the process, it'll just fuck up the draft. Total no-win situation for the Giants.
  2. There’s really no reason to have Jones rush back from a high ankle sprain this late in the season. May as well just give Eli the last four games as a farewell tour.
  3. Greg Roman has been installed as the early betting favorite for the Panthers job.
  4. The Giants are an immediate front runner if only because Dave Gettleman cannot resist anyone associated with the Panthers or Cardinals.
  5. Loooooove watching Carson rip off a 25 yard run to the goal line only for Penny to vulture the TD and 6 points away from me. Fantasy football is just the best!
  6. I almost forgot that not even two years ago the Jags were half a quarter away from going to a Super Bowl.
  7. Yeah, having a two game lead over KC takes some of the pressure off of next week’s game...because after that they’ll have Cincy followed by Buffalo and Miami at home. Odds are very good that they’ll still be getting their annual bye week.
  8. My response to the last three posts:
  9. McAdoo still deserved to be fired because he was a fuckhead. Shurmur is at least seems like a really nice guy. But he’s clearly a crap coach and I’m certain they’ll move on from him in January.
  10. Literally the entire reason Lock hummed it so far downfield in a tie game with only nine seconds to go was to draw a pass interference call. Inexplicably, Casey Hayward took the bait.
  11. I hope sahyder’s jinxing abilities have transferred over to you.
  12. If the Giants lose to Washington this month, they are virtually assured no worse than the #2 pick of the draft. The only thing keeping them from Chase Young is if the Bengals aren’t in love with Joe Burrow.
  13. Only watched today because I’m snowed in. Jones is exactly as advertised - an Eli carbon copy with extra mobility. If you get him a line and receivers who can actually get separation, you can win with him. If you don’t, his gunslinging nature will result in a boatload of INTs. He is not a QB who makes mediocre players around him better.
  14. Dolphins punter threw a TD to the kicker on a trick play. Lol Eagles
  15. A 1 vs 8 or 2 vs 7 seed playoff game would hold no interest to me. You could maybe talk me into 6 teams. Figure on a normal year you could get the power 5 winners plus a “wild card”. But then you’re just gonna have the same arguments you already get now and it’ll just be oversaturation.
  16. Committee announces last second expansion to 8 team playoff.
  17. 17 of 19. “BEST RIVALRY IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL!”
  18. I was reading an article where a bunch of high school Michigan and Ohio State fans were polled and the majority of them indicated that they didn't view any real extra importance in this game or the rivalry. Was kinda shocking to see until I remembered that Ohio State has won 14 of the last 15, basically the entire time these teenagers have watched football. It's like the rivalry got so one-sided that it skipped a generation.
  19. Cardinals DB Josh Shaw suspended for the remainder of the season for betting on games.
  20. There should be a minimum of a three year wait before anyone gets the “offensive genius” tag slapped on them. Give NFL defenses time to adjust.
  21. Saints become the first team to clinch a playoff spot.
  22. Oh I don’t doubt for a second that the Eagles will make the playoffs. Their remaining schedule is easy. They play Miami, Washington, and two against the Giants. But I don’t see them doing anything once they have to play a good team in January.
  23. LOL Dallas were favored by a touchdown going into this game.
  24. The Browns, who were in attendance for Kaepernick’s workout, have offered a tryout..... .....to one of Kaepernick’s receivers.
  25. Drew Pomeranz to the Padres. 4 years, $34 million. Gonna be an expensive relief market.
