  1. I think putting me into the HOF would be opening pandora’s box a bit too much.
  2. Philip Rivers sure loves his arm punts.
  3. If Mattingly goes in, then Keith Hernandez needs to go in too.
  4. The 2020 Hall of Fame ballot is out: My ballot: Bonds Clemens Jeter Kent Ramirez Rolen Sheffield Sosa Wagner Walker
  5. The Bengals are the first team eliminated from the playoffs, earliest a team has been mathematically eliminated since 2002.
  6. Generally I think a lousy QB situation should be enough to buy a rookie head coach another season. But then you have Vic Fangio who is meant to be a defensive genius yet the Broncos blew a 20-0 halftime lead. I could see him being one and done.
  7. The refs are essentially ensuring that the rule gets changed because they flat out will not admit to missing a call.
  8. He obviously isn’t getting signed, but Kaepernick is the fucking truth.
  9. Anyone who doesn’t support paying college athletes is fucked in the head.
  10. Separate from all of this, I've gotta say, being an Odell fantasy owner this year has been about the most frustrating fantasy football related thing I can remember. Drafted him in the second round, too early to ever really bench him and he's always ranked as a top 20 play just based on who he is. Gets like 50 yards on the first drive last night, looks like he's going to break out for the first time since week 2. Ends the game with 60 yards total. It's not even like he never gets open, it feels like they're paying him to be a very expensive decoy and keep the top CB on the other team tied up. Mayfield goes long stretches of game without ever even looking in his direction.
  11. You can play a violent game without assaulting someone after the whistle.
  12. I dunno, if I was out and someone was swinging a weapon at my friend I'd be inclined to try to take them down and get some shots in too.
  13. The Browns beating the Steelers for the first time in five years only for the story to be their star defensive player acting like a total lunatic with eight seconds left is so Cleveland.
  14. Myles Garrett suspended for a full season at minimum.
  15. There’s thinking that Cora and Beltran might get fined rather than suspended so as to not punish the Red Sox or Mets who weren’t involved at all.
  16. The league has summoned AJ Hinch, Alex Cora, and Carlos Beltran to the league office to conduct interviews about the sign stealing. This is going to turn into yet another LOLMETS moment when their manager gets hit with a lengthy suspension before ever getting to manage a game, isn't it?
  17. Taking away stuff that’s already happened is largely pointless. The fans and players will always have those memories of having experienced it. The best punishments would be for moving forward. Maybe a postseason ban for X amount of years and allowing players to opt out of their contracts immediately if they want to go somewhere where they can win a title. It could be an effective death blow to the franchise.
  18. If this was the NCAA, the Astros' World Series win would most certainly be vacated.
  19. Jets CEO Christopher Johnson has already declared that Adam Gase’s job is safe for 2020.
  20. Jacob deGrom wins the NL Cy Young for a second consecutive season
  21. So they told Kaepernick yesterday about the workout scheduled for this Saturday. Kaepernick supposedly asked if it could be a different day and they said no. Also it’s a Saturday in the middle of the season so nobody of any importance will be able to be there because they’ll all be getting ready for games on Sunday. This league is such trash.
  22. ‘72 Dolphins pop the champagne yet again
  23. Chase McLaughlin. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat. -edit- or maybe he’ll get another shot! What a game.
