I'm gonna guess right now that they're trying to trade Davis Webb. After an abysmal first game, he looked solid in the second and third games and was held out of the fourth. He wasn't drafted by this regime, so they're not tied to him like they are with Kyle Lauletta. But they aren’t going to have a rookie be the lone backup, hence Tanney who is a journeyman nobody is trading for. In any event I can't possibly imagine their Week 1 roster will actually have four QBs on it.

The Giants have kept four QBs on their roster. What the fuck! I knew Eli, Davis Webb, and Kyle Lauletta would make it - but for some reason they've kept Alex Tanney as well. There surely has to be a trade brewing because keeping four QBs is just asinine especially when they've gone light at a few positions.

What a hilariously bad decision. There aren't many instances where switching teams is justified, but Raiders fans have every right to bail on them after this shit.

I'm not sure they are actually considering it, or if they just wanted to put that rumor out there to try to tempt him to come back. As it is he's almost certainly going to miss regular season games. It's tough to imagine his agent green lighting him into potentially losing an entire year's worth of pay, so I'd think the Raiders are banking on him pulling an Aaron Donald and reporting to the team at the last possible moment before the season starts. Remarkable that a team can spend nine figures on a head coach who hasn't run a team since the Bush administration, but they can't pay one of the best defensive players in the league.

What will be watched by more people in Connecticut this evening? UCF/UConn which will surely be a blowout, or the meaningless Giants/Pats preseason game.

Poor Mike Kanellis missed out then since they revealed the entire Raw roster except for him and Lashley, who I assume will be DLC. His theme alone was reason enough to want him to be in.

I agree it's pretty pointless now with a 200 character roster. The roster reveal used to be fun back when there were only like 60 people in the game and you knew that they weren't going to be able to include everybody. So the intrigue for me was in seeing which undercard wrestlers had made the cut. I distinctly remember being shocked to see that Vito had made it one year, only to then realize it was at the expense of London and Kendrick who were in the midst of a yearlong tag title run.

John Ricco confirmed today that the Mets aren't calling up Peter Alonso despite his 33 home run season in the minors, citing defensive struggles and a lack of playing time available to him. Both are bullshit reasons. The Mets have very blatantly disregarded defense in favor of offense in nearly all of their moves during the Alderson era. As for playing time, you can't reference that as a reason to not call someone up when you're the one who decides who plays. I'll always love Wilmer Flores, but we know what he is. Getting Alonso a month against MLB pitching is more valuable than throwing Flores and Jay Bruce out there every day. The reality is they're not calling him up because he's not Rule 5 Draft eligible this winter, so therefore they don't need to add him to the 40 man roster yet, and now by holding him out September they can save service time. I guarantee he won't be the Opening Day 1B next year either even if he hits 20 HRs in camp. They'll wait until 3 weeks in just like every team does with their star prospects to ensure an extra year of service. Really hate this service time shit and wish the players and agents had more power to do something about this.

I must’ve played Here Comes the Pain’s story mode over a dozen times. Yes you go through many of the same overarching stories every time, but you could still make different choices throughout and the characters used in the stories would change depending on how many superstar points were accrued over the seasons.

2k have changed barely anything since they took over. It’s functionally been the same game for at least a dozen years. If they had two years to create a new game, maybe they’d do well with it. But they don’t. They have to put out a new game every year, and with that cycle it doesn’t leave much room for change. It is like this with nearly every annual sports title, small changes here and there but never a full blown revamp. Even MLB The Show which I love has long been at the point where you’re paying for a fresh coat of paint and a roster update every year.

Dunne and Bate were part of the roster reveal and they're doing it by country based on this tweet. There was a pic earlier with The Bar filming for the roster reveal and they each had their flag in front of them. Seems odd to me that they wouldn't have announced Trent Seven along with these two. Would be quite shit if he's not in considering they gave Bate his Moustache Mountain jacket.

I would almost wager money that Ricochet is DLC. His moveset alone is DLC worthy and that's why they'll make you pay for him. I'd be keen to see if Almas is in. I mean logically there's no reason he shouldn't be - but he was a surprise exclusion last year given the size of the NXT roster. His theme song was even listed in the game credits which led to rumors that he didn't want his likeness in the game.

You'll realize you've reached your image limit when you download a CAW and the CAW's attire is completely different from the preview image because you ran out of space so the game just deleted the extra images.

Pat Bowlen and Gil Brandt have been selected as the contributor finalists for the Hall of Fame Class of 2019. Both will go in surely. The contributor and senior committee nominees rarely fail to pass the final vote, the one exception being Paul Tagliabue two years ago.

Spike are definitely taking some heat for this on the Steam Forums. In January when they said they would be focusing most of their efforts on the PS4 version, everyone on the PC was supportive because the goal was for the game to succeed and the PS4 platform would make them to the most money. But now they've delayed PC content a week before release in order to again accommodate PS4, people have gotten miffed. On top of all this, Carlzilla has now said that with the DLC dropping next week he should've been able to update the mod suite fairly quickly since he'd only be a couple of weeks into classes. But he expects his workload to ramp up very quickly and so with this delay, expect it to be several months before he can fix the suite. In other words, if you play PC you need to decide between the mod suite or the new content. If you want to keep using mods, you'd better stock up on edits now because once the content drops you'll have to play in offline mode for the foreseeable future.

They've always justified it as trying to curb server stress. Between all of the CAWs, arenas, belts, and other stuff you can download - the server could take a beating if a ton of people tried to max out their save slots at the same time. I think the limit should definitely be dropped after the Christmas season though. By then, you're not gonna get floods of people getting the game for the first time and heading straight online.
