I knew it was an exaggerated comparison, but I didn't feel it would create such controversy. But yeah, it was idiotic, won't happen again.

It will happen again, the fact that you made it shows that you have no sense of taste or decency, so it'll happen again, if not a homophobic comment then something else. Those kinds of ugly views never remain hidden for long, and 'I didn't think it would offend' is the defence of a man without a clue.
