I'm not a Ben hater (although I'm a bit of a Steelers hater being a Dallas fan) so I feel negative for attacking the commentary, BUT did the sexual assault scandal really need to be brought up just now? They are trying to set this up for a fairy tale ending with a Law & Order storyline.

I love how the commentary is already reminding us how injured Big Ben is.

At 185 I think that Silva could finish GSP.

Whoever beats Silva is going to be someone that really doesn't care going into the fight, like Sonnen was. Once you show a bit of hesitation against Silva and allow him to get into a rhythm you're done for.

That card is stacked with fights that I'm scared to see. I don't want to see majority of those guys lose outside of Stann (and it's not wanting him to lose, it's wanting Wandy to win). Mir/Nelson is especially hard for me. Forcefully picking though, I hope Thaigo blast Rampage in shocking fashion just for the shake up it would cause.

I'm not completely sold on it yet myself, but I've been attending a decent amount of dubstep parties lately so I'm trying to expand my knowledge of it. I'm going to attempt to mix some myself so I'm trying to get an idea of the good stuff versus the not so good stuff in the genre.

Like MPH said, even K-1 is down (which is actually hurts my training a LOT if K-1 ends up going under completely). FEG USA figureheads can't get actual FEG directors (of even the President) to communicate with them at this point. The writing is not on the wall at this point, it's set in stone.

Eddie, I'll look into it for you. davidmarrio, FEG is busted, Dream is a dead and Shinya is in negotiations to sign exclusively to Strikeforce instead of retiring. Guess he changed his mind. Shame he has to give up his grappling pants advantage.

Bolleje, where are you from? The United States does a lot to take care of wounded soldiers (I know a couple that have been wounded personally). The organization the UFC (Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund) is working with is an outside organization that launched on it's own to target a specific cause (brain trauma) that not only needs more research but takes much more effort to care for as well. Check out the site: http://www.fallenheroesfund.org Initially it was targeted to help the families of those lost in conflict. A noble effort on any account.

Where have you been "reading" this at? This is the second time I've seen someone claim "I read somewhere" about this fight without a source (unless you also post on the UG). Mitrione and Barry are friends, yes, and while they used to train together Matt has been at Carlson Gracie Team MMA recently while Barry trains with Death Clutch.

The thing Dunham has on his side is that Dana doesn't view the Sherk loss as a loss so he can easily rebound and be back in the mix in two or three fights. Mike Brown, however. I wanna hug that guy right now.

Hague is returning to the UFC after dropping 3 in a row during his last stint. He's coming back to face a very, very young and green fighter in Matrione who only has 3 professional fights. I'd say that loss to Duffee said more about him than it did Duffee for sure. A loss to Meathead will solidify that if he does indeed lose.

That's part of the problem: you have the HW champion in a HW tournament while he is champion and it's not being defended. The championship is taking the backseat to a make believe title that will have no value or meaning after this series of fights. The title is supposed to be THE crowning jewel of a division. If someone goes in there and defeats Overeem and wins the Grand Prix title (which will be dissolved after the tournament) then what do they have? A pat on the back? All they will have accomplished is winning a chance to face the champion, whom they just defeated, for the HW championship. As for the proving who the top heavyweight is, yes I agree. That, however, is supposed to be acknowledged with the championship.

Horrible. Tasteless. Uninteresting. Just a few works off the top of my head that describe the wanna be Pride move, IMO. I went from being all exciting about Strikeforce finally doing something right with their Heavyweight championship and they have completely ruined it. If Overeem loses the Heavyweight title loses the .01% of credibility it still had left.
