A little research leads me to believe this will be much easier then it was years ago when I participated in one. So essentially we should maybe have multiple-commissioners just in case one can't advance to the next sim or something? I dunno. I'd be down to either do it, or help. Doesn't seem like much work anymore other than uploading the files for everyone to advance their own game, once we decide on the obvious rules, how long to advance per, etc. to begin. This all being said, I'm more interested in real teams and players...

I have mac so its the same as anything else, got the file from the OOTP board then installed it, dragging it into the applications folder. For PC I'd assume its the typical with just an installation running and then perhaps you put the new icon or software onto your desktop or where-ever if it doesn't automatically update to that patches version? (ala TEW)

Assuming everyone else got an email as well but mine went to the spam folder and I didn't realize until I opened up OOTP but the 2nd update is out now (technically version 15.2.8) and should have made the game really stable for all users. I guess there focus going forward with be with improving 3-D and any other bugs, etc.

I've been lucky and had good patience to start, I really like all the camera views out of the box this year. Maybe it's just the PS4. But I'd always have to use custom cameras to get a good look at the ball out of the pitchers hand, not anymore. Though I am playing with that random pitch-count feature off as well.

Played my first two games of this today, they were both awesome. Really love everything they've done this year for PS4 compared to the PS3 last year. Love the way the ball comes off the bat in a certain angle now when batting; really just so many nice little additions that make this great. To be noted that I do play with hitting on timing (so you just press x) and pitching on meter. Won my first two games on veteran, gonna wait and see but definitely going to need to make it harder at some point. Hopefully it isn't super hard on the next level like most sports games, probably gonna have to find some sliders soon.

While this is far, and I wouldn't have been surprised if he got fired either (which I woke up to two Canadian outlets reporting both were, only to have one two hours later say what was reported above.) He was the coach who got this core nucleolus of players to come together and win, and win when most of them were a lot younger, and a lot less experienced. This team just has too much talent on top, and if Fleury can get his shit together for one more post-season run. I think they got another cup or two in them with this squad and coach. Just need the right depth players to get them going, much improved defensive is of course at the top of the list.

I had this question when first reading about this problem. If you started from the earliest point and legit tried to play the history of baseball, that would probably be the most beneficial in terms of not losing any real players when creating a large base of fictional guys?

The school didn't want him to accept help in order to keep him an eventual student-athlete, and to not face any trouble from NCAA on his/the teams behalf. I guess if he lived in a box or a shelter until, possibly risking danger and never becoming a student-athlete is much better. NCAA in the year 2014 is so backwards it's not even funny.

Could have seen this one coming from the beginning, case in point all the fuckheaded calls all playoffs. Toronto got shifted out early just to make room for better ratings with Brooklyn/Miami. I'm sure you could list dozens this playoffs, specific calls that is. But no point being cynical now.... It's pretty much the four I wanted and expected to see battle it out at this time of year.

Streaming on my 'puter. We aren't getting stuffed yet. The settings are definitely different. Probably harder, or possibly even different mechanics for hitting/batting. The Show is weird for online because there are a lot of different ways to play the game. I usually play on some weird settings, and sliders anyways, barely have ever played The Show online the last couple years. Been purely a franchise guy, but definitely wanna jump in on an online franchise. Did one in NHL with my buddies and it was awesome. To note....I still haven't opened my copy of the show. Been vividly writing and playing TEW, while watching old wrasslin' and the NHL playoffs. Gonna fire up a game later tonight or sometime tomorrow, probably start with Road to the Show after a game or two of exhibition like usual to start the year off. You notice any lag online Don? I know that's always been an issue for the PS3 versions to date...

Yeah that's definitely off-putting to say the least. A good look into what goes on with this whole "student-athlete" thing, and a great look on a few possible solutions, as well as cases of players like this (though not as extreme) getting caught in bad situations (using "paper classes" to up their GPA, etc.) is in the documentary "School: The Price Behind College Sports" which I originally found on netflix. Also all of the college football 30 for 30's on ESPN outline these problems very well. Examples in "The U", The Maurice Clarrett doc "Youngstown Boys", and SMU's, "Pony Express", just to name a few of my favs.

I'd personally rather do regular teams as well, not really bothered who I end up with. Astros and Blue Jays are my two teams, and I find with sports games it's more about the users skill online then the team they play with.

I don't think that's how it works lmfao. Anyways, tough break for Fernadez he was a rock for the Marlins on the slab this year. Obviously coming off a great rookie campaign. Tough injury to take for a young pitcher but he should come back fine.
