  1. I know it's not a huge success or anything, but Jeremy Sisto was PERFECT as Vassago in Hideaway.
  2. 12/13 - U2, Rob Zombie, Guns & Roses, Metallica, Nirvana 14/15 - Old school metal, mostly. Now (17) - The Smiths, Jeff Buckley, Morrissey, Tim Buckley, Patti Smith, The Cure, HIM, New York Dolls, Pink Grease, Joy Division, KMFDM... Evolved is certainly one word.
  3. Ah, good old football. Nothing like it for boosting the levels of casual racism :thumbs-up:
  4. I'm not a football fan, but the England/Portual game was absolutely amazing. The only problem is that Jersey has a huge Portuguese population, and the result will only serve to increase the already ridiculously high levels of racism towards them. That said, I was walking home literally minutes after the end of the game and there were Portuguese people literally dancing and partying in the streets, and if anything can make people that happy on such a wide scale then that makes me happy. Fuck nationality, fuck football, just be happy for them.
  5. I'm going to paraphrase the liner notes from my new Tim Buckley double-album and say that a great political songwriter isn't one who tells you what to think or one who tells you what's wrong and what's right. A great political songwriter is one who asks questions and leaves you to make up your own minds. See Dylan, Bob (early) and Waits, Tom for examples.
  6. I've got Neverwinter Nights, but it runs far too slowly to play it online. As for general RPing, I've RPed in e-feds, Discworld websites, Final Fantasy websites and some generic fantasy ones. My casual acquaintance Aaron is going to set me up on a MMORPG or a MUD some time in the near future, as he's a collosal nerd and needs some real friends to talk to.

    Mad Season

I got it a while back for £6 second-hand...it's more laid back and slightly darker than AIC, and at least one of the tracks made me think of Velvet Underground, if only because it sounded slightly similar to Venus In Furs. I can't remember most of the track names, and can't be bothered to go get the CD and find out, but it's a pretty strong album, but nothing too spectacurific. The sleeve design looks incredibly cheap, though.
  8. Splinter. He rocked. I mean....he was a rat. Come on!
  9. ....that's not what Jeremy's about. Jeremy is about a school shooting, isn't it? I pretty much agree with Squancho, but I think very few people can pull off politics successfully, them being Springsteen, Dylan, Joe Strummer/The Clash, Morrissey, and Bob Geldof. Most other bands can strike it lucky with one political song, but that lot are the only ones who can really make a career out of it. EDIT: And when bands like NOFX and Good Charlotte try to be political or whatever, it actually makes me sick. NOFX are just "Boo! Bush sucks!" and Good Charlotte's anti-suicide song, whatever it was called, was appalling and offended me in how hideously unknowledgeable they were about the subject.
  10. The Cure - Burn Nine Inch Nails - Dead Souls Jane Siberry - It Can't Rain All The Time All off the awesomely awesome Crow soundtrack.

  12. In no order: Alex Kidd In Miracle World Escape From Monkey Island The Curse Of Monkey Island Final Fantasy 7 American McGee's Alice Streets Of Rage 2 Mario Party Silent Hill 3 Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Metal Gear Solid
  13. I won't go into my relative disdain for Johnny Ramone here, as it really wouldn't be appropriate, but I really do hope he gets better. I don't want to have to buy another commemorative T-shirt, it saddens me enough to see the Joey and Dee Dee ones.
  14. My suggestions will be Hideaway and Nosferatu.
  15. Hard to order, but I'm guessing I'll be a little unconventional here: 1) Asia Argento 2) Alex Parks 3) Cristina Scabia 4) Winona Ryder 5) Tai Weed 6) Victoria 7) Thora Birch 8) Christina Ricci 9) Sue Perkins 10) Siobhan Fahey
  16. Trujillo > Newsted and also, by a fraction, moderately better than Cliff Burton, in my opinion, but he's held back by crappy material. And he's not a gorilla! He's....THE TARANTULA~!
  17. I DESPISE "rap battles" and "feuds" between rappers. It all stinks of "My Dad Could Beat Up Your Dad" to me...
  18. Quoted for emphasis. Stick "What's He Building In There?" at the end just to freak out your friend.
  19. Andy's Records? There used to be one of those in Beverly, my former place of residence, but now it's gone. Sad times. And yeah, pretty much every Manowar album looks like that.
  20. For anyone who wants to hear some top-notch Stapp-bashing, check out Dave Grohl's version of Arms Wide Open.
  21. Allow me to settle this: Jeff Buckley.
  22. Frasier the least important? Did you ever watch Cheers?
  23. I hated Creed. With a passion. But over time, the hate became severe indifference. I couldn't care less either way about this news. They've made a lot of awful music, not to mention murdering "I'm Eighteen" in the process, so we've still got that to remember them by, sadly. But, yeah...I don't care that they've split up. They've damaged the music industry enough already with their mere existence.
  24. I haven't read the book of Azkaban, only Philosopher's Stone, and I haven't seen the other films, but I went to see this on Wednesday and quite liked it. Suitably dark and weird, but the bit before the ending made very little sense (don't want to give it away but...it's hugely illogical, even considering that this is a fantasy film about a thirteen year old wizard). I wouldn't have thought of going to see it, but I was dragged along and someone else paid for me, and it wasn't too bad. The part of the whole experience that I found surreal was that I'm 16, my friend JD that was with me is 15 and the other two guys, Ben & Aaron, that were with us are 20 and...20-ish...and Ben & Aaron are the only two who read the books.
