  1. Pick Locke's. It's a little bit harder than the rest. Save Sabin for last, if only for the sight of a train suplex...
  2. It might be just me, but something about that sounds hilariously accurate...
  3. New Classes: Spoiler: Click here to viewHuman: *Paravir - Cross a Fighter with a Ninja, and you're there. Can throw some elemental attacks around, but only within sword-range. Quite high attack, crap-all defense. *Seer - It's a low-leveled Red Mage. Only really good for teaching support abilities. Bangaa: *Master Monk - It's a leveled-up version of White Monk, but with better stats and some good abilities... *Cannoner - It's the Bangaa equivalent of Flintlock, only less accurate. *Trickster - Ooh! It's a Bangaa that uses magic, completely wasting most of it's stats! AND it pretty much only uses status-magic, too... Moogle: *Fusilier - Trick question. Re-named Gunners from FFTA. Nothing new here. *Chocobo Knight - Fastest class in the game. Red Chocobos have the Choco Meteor skill, White ones let you restore MP, and Black ones are faster than the others. *Tinker - Re-named Gadgeteer. Still not the best choice in attack, defense, or skills. Avoid after learning "Equip Ribbon". *Flintlock - Not the best stat-wise, but good support abilities, considering you need to charge all of them for one turn. Nu Mou: *Arcanist - Mostly gravity magic, and other spells that wouldn't hit a conventional FF boss. Bit of a waste. *Scholar -Illusionists with the drawback of targeting allies as well. Viera: *Green Mage - Decent attack for a mage, with protecting spells and some status magic to help. *Spellblade - Combine a Fencer with a Trickster, and this is the result. Worse stats than a Fencer, too... Gria: Only just slower than Viera, but they can fly. *Raptor - It's another Soldier class... Saying that though, their abilities will help the other classes... *Ravager - Basically, it's a Fighter with some sneaky techniques. *Geomancer - What is it with giving races that can't use magic well magic-based classes? Decent on paper, but bad to work with in actuality. Seeq: They pack more of a punch than Bangaas, but suffer the old trade-off of speed. *Ranger - Can set traps. Useful in maps with chokepoints, but unplayable otherwise. *Berserker - Essentially a Warrior. Highest attack stat in the game, from what I can see. *Viking - The worst class in the game, with Tinker close behind. Seeqs can barely use magic as is, so why not give them magic that is much less powerful than the regular versions? YAY! *Lanista - A re-worked Dark Knight-type class. Really not worth it. Other than that, the races/classes haven't changed much... so Warriors are essentially still Soldiers... The laws have been re-tooled, and I think they work. You get one law through a battle, and by upholding it, you get item rewards at the end, and a "privilege", which can be anything from a strength bonus, to improved race powers. Breaking these laws no longer results in jail time, but if you break a law (even under Charm/Confuse) the Judge will leave, taking the items, the privilege, and the ability to revive clanmates... But it's a better system than it was...
  4. The gameplay is essentially the same, but I think the story is easier to get into. Well, that's how it seems, anyway... ...Or were you after something a little more specific?
  5. You could try "I'll Do Anything", that always works for me... Alternatively, try "Gasoline Upcharge", or "Mental". They work about as well...
  6. Sliders and Justice League. I couldn't think of a close enough Marvel-related show... No, I haven't read Marvel Zombies. What a silly thing to say... Hell, Sliders with anything works. Imagine Sliders/Quantum Leap?
  7. You're Not Alone >(Just barely)> Dark Messenger > Weuber > The Rest.
  8. For what it's worth, Pokemon Ranger is a surprisingly enjoyable game... The new Mystery Dungeon games are more of the same, and get old rather quickly...
  9. I've only ever seen this version... Well, it's up and running now, at least... :/
  10. Ayuh, stock-standard NWN. Do you have to pay for the modules?
  11. I think this is the first D&D-styled game I've played, aside from D&D itself...
  12. Yan Island, if you can withstand that kind of damage...
  13. I realise this is quite an old thread, but it's still relevant to me, damn it! Picked it up a couple of days ago for $5. I was pretty hyped about it. Then I started to play it. Firstly, some genius decided that Australians would get the 1.01 version, meaning it's unplayable out of the box. I check the support forums, and it says I need to update. Reasonable. 130-something MB (Read: 4 hours) later, it's ready to play. I make a character, and all that, only to have the game freeze when I try to talk to anyone. If I choose not to talk to anyone, I'm stuck in a room. Once again, I check the forums, only to find that the Australian version was shipped without a rather important file. That's annoying, but tolerable. Needs another update, it says. How big can it be? 154 MB, apparently, which translates to roughly 6 hours for me. So, ranting aside, is the game worth 300+ Mb of updates to play?
  14. Find the Berry Master, and use the Pamtre berries. You should only need 4 PokeBlocks to max it out, depending on how good you are at mixing. The Master is like a sniper, only with candy instead of bulletty death... Berry Master: Route 23 Pamtre Berry: Say "CHALLENGE CONTEST" to the Berry Master's Wife.
  15. If you back into it, your chances of staying in the car increase rather dramatically... That's why I was confused when people were laughing at me for doing it that way... Aaanyway, I'll be unable to get on to LIVE at all in the next week, but it's not as if people would miss me that much anyway...
  16. If you have a choice, get FireRed or LeafGreen. It's a remake of the original Red/Blue, but adds in extra Pokemon. Or just jump right in to Diamond/Pearl. It's all the same game, really. Anything new is explained, so you're not just in the deep end...
  17. It's on Pearl, and it's the only one I have to use, because of the challenge I'm doing...
  18. Probably. Bah, I'm torn. Should I evolve my Nuzleaf now, or later? He's just evolved from a Seedot, so he's at level 14...
  19. Every time I hear someone mention a possible grass/fire type, I just get the image of an Oddish aflame, running in circles and screaming... That's probably just me though...
  20. I've found that's about the easiest part of getting it. Of course, it works better in R/S/E...
  21. Woah woah woah woah... woah... Hold everything... There's a comic adaptation of "Magician"? As in "Raymond E. Feist's Top 100 bestseller's list Magician"? DO NOT WANT!
  22. I've seen a decent sized shelf filled with GTA trade-ins, so I could believe that it gets traded a lot...
  23. So, apparently it seems unlikely that Australia will get Rock Band, due to the licensing issues that are keeping it out of the country so far. This is indeed a disturbing universe rumour. Hopefully it's just that: a rumour...
