  1. Very funny show, I'm glad to hear it's been picked up for a 2nd season. I didn't like it at first, but it really really grew on me.
  2. This is shaping up to be really, really cool. Gambit finally being in a movie makes me REALLY happy. And I really don't think there's a better choice than Ryan Renolds to be Deadpool.
  3. Ha, I'm actually just about to import CDs from England...Gotta have the new Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds CD before the April US release. But, to answer your question, I find it best to go to amazon.whatever country you're importing from. For example, I'm getting the new Nick Cave single and album from Amazon.co.uk, and am saving about $15 (30 GBP) by getting from there as opposed to Amazon.com I think others are Amazon.jp (Japan) Amazon.au (Australia) I assume it should work as well for you as it does for me.
  4. The song "Los Angeles" is not by X...it's by Frank Black (of the Pixies) Favorites from my Zune: A. Against Me!/Alkaline Trio B. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club/Bomb The Music Industry! C. Cake/Clutch D. David Bowie/Dream Theater E. Electric Six/Emigrate F. Foo Fighters/Fake Problems G. Green Day/Grinderman H. Husky Rescue I. Incubus J. Jonah Matranga/Jack Johnson K. The Killers/Kaiser Chiefs L. Local H/Lars Frederiksen M. Mike Doughty/Metallica N. Nine Inch Nails/Nick Cave O. The Offspring P. A Perfect Circle/The Pixies Q. Queens Of The Stone Age/Queen R. Rammstein/Rage Against The Machine S. Streetlight Manifesto/Saul Williams T. Tom Waits/Tool U. The Union Underground V. VAST W. The White Stripes/Weezer X....Fucking X. Y. Youth Group Z. ZZ Top/Zug Izland
  5. Already saw: Streetlight Manifesto (Jan. 9th) Going to see: VAST (February 7th) Fake Problems/Smoke Or Fire (February 24th) And myself and a friend are trying to find decent tickets for Foo Fighters/Serj Tankian/AGAINST ME! in Chicago.
  6. One of the best SNL hosts ever? Yes. One of the best R&B/Pop albums of all time? Yes. Justin Timberlake = secks.
  7. If number one isn't "Somewhere In The Between" by Streetlight Manifesto I'm going to burn down your...something. "House" is FAR too extreme, being that this is just a top albums list. I'll burn down your bedroom door. Suckah.
  8. I saw it for the first time not too long ago, and I really really enjoyed it. It was alot better than I thought it would be, and I thought it was going to be good.
  9. First: D2 Mighty Ducks Soundtrack. Last: "Bone Machine" by Tom Waits

    Nirvana

I personally think Nirvana is the most overrated band in the history of music, but I'm not saying they're bad. Breed, About A Girl, anything else off of Bleach, You Know You're Right, All Apologies, Marigold, and Heart-Shaped Box is their best work if you ask me. I, too, have always prefered Alice in Chains as opposed to Nirvana. And as for Foo Fighters vs. Nirvana, I like the Foo Fighters more. As stated before, "Everlong" > Anything Nirvana wrote.
  11. The Proposition. The Usual Suspects. Clerks II. Crank. Shaun of the Dead. I'm sure there's more. Oh yeah, Return of the Jedi.
  12. Muppet Christmas Carrol FTW. Also: Die Hard/Die Hard 2. They take place on/near Christmas and there's Christmas music in them. I count them. Jingle All The Way. Christmas Vacation. Nightmare Before Christmas. The first two Home Alone movies remain awesome. Still haven't seen "Scrooged"
  13. I ordered it off of Amazon.com last night...really excited to get it. Not so much for the CD, but for the Year Zero Multitracks on the DVD-rom.
  14. True dat. I give one of my roommates flack because when we went to see it, he came out of it complaining about the plot. I come from the school of "Dude, he spends the entire movie breaking bones and kneeing people in the face. Who cares about plot?" but I can kinda understand as The Protector did kinda have a haphazard plot (and the international cut wasn't much better). But seriously, my friends and I busted out laughing for a few minutes when the strong man threw the baby elephant across the room just because it came out of nowhere and it looked so damn fake. I did that at a movie night a few weeks ago and got yelled at by this hot chick for "not being sensitive to animals". But she was practically fingering herself when Tony Jaa was fighting the Capoeira dude in the temple so I doubt I would've had a chance with her anyway. Also, the fact that the final line of the movie is something like "Can you confirm reports of a Thai man in a red scarf and a baby elephant walking around the city?" always gets a laugh from me.
  15. Another couple I remember is when I saw "Norbit" (UGH) in the theater...when they said the female's name was "Rasputia", I lost it...no one else did. And I probably looked like an asshole. Also, from Norbit, when Mr. Wong says "Mr. Wong VERY racist!", my friends and I were dying and no one laughed. Also the American theatrical release of "The Protector" is the funniest movie EVER made. They cut out around 20 minutes and the movie made no sense whatsoever.
  16. The one that really comes to mind is in "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby " when Ricky Bobby refers to Jean Girard as Gérard Depardieu. I found it hilarious for some reason. Anyone else have things in comedies they find funny but no one else does?
  17. CD's Confirmed: Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds (~!) - "Dig, Lazerus, Dig!" (March) (Said to sound like the "Grinderman" CD) Mike Doughty - "Golden Delicious" (February) Weezer - ??? (April) Pretty much going to happen: Nine Inch Nails - ??? (NIN and Saul Williams are rumored to do a tour in July of 08...NIN touring in support of YZ part 2 maybe?) The Offspring - ??? Rammstein - ??? Alkaline Trio - ??? (I heard a new song at Warped Tour this year...it was called "In Vain" and it was fucking phenomenal.) Green Day - ??? Metallica - ??? Pennywise - ??? Wishful Thinking: The Misfits - ??? (It could happen. Hopefully.) David Bowie? Maybe? Please? Shows: Streetlight Manifesto/Suburban Legends - January 9th Hopefully NIN/Saul will tour. I plan to see shows of all the bands I've listed above...except Nick "Not touring the US in support of the new CD" Cave.
  18. Amazing show...I have the first 7 episodes on my Zune, and I'm going to get the Season 1 DVD when it comes out this month. The episode "Bowie" is the funniest thing ever. "Sorry about the table, Bret!"
  19. Die Hard With A Vengeance. Die Hard. Live Free or Die Hard. Die Harder. Die Hard With A Vengeance is in my top 5 favorite movies of all time, I've loved it since I first saw it roughly 10 years ago. And Jeremy Irons is awesome. Die Hard is just the classic, essential action movie. And Alan Rickman > *. Live Free or Die Hard was surprisingly good, a lot better than I expected. I miss the swearing, but the DVD will have it, so I will have the DVD. Die Harder is a great movie, with a good twist, but it just doesn't compare to the others.
  20. I like the CD better than Keasbey Nights, but Everything Goes Numb is going to probably win that battle. As for "Album of the year"? I need to listen to it more, but I can totally see it winning that honor from me as well...it's only compitition is "Year Zero" by Nine Inch Nails, and it'll be tough to beat that.
