Childbirth really isn't as bad as I expected it to be. As Sousa said, you kind of get over the "ew" aspect because it's your child.
Though I actually considered eating the placenta as part of the birth plan. Needless to say, any chance of that happening after I saw the fucker was slim.

I was fine throughout, and didn't even see the afterbirth, because I was too busy looking at the kid. It's not anywhere near as gross as I'm sure you're making it out to be.
