  1. Seattle is looking good, but I'm waiting for Peyton to get in rhythm.
  2. Speaking of Hall, how sad was that fight with Leben last night. He definitely needs to call it quits after that. If I said Anderson was a shell of his former self, Chris Leben is 1/20th of that and he was never really a top contender. Sad, but was always very entertaining. Plus, who could forget about the best moment of his career, spritzing on Jason Thacker's bed sheets
  3. Ask any Cowboys fan Let's hope the Cowboys hold up to their end tonight. Although, I highly doubt the Eagles will be able to do anything with a stacked NFC. Seattle/San Fran are all way too good and playing in Seattle would have me shitting my pants
  4. MMA never recovered from Rampage Jackson ducking your YouTube video challenge... Well played And Jeff, not at all. TUF is what pretty much got me into MMA in the first place as well. Rich, I do agree with you though and definitely understand what you're saying. It would be like there only being one football game a month in the NFL. Obviously it would be a bigger deal than it is because of how sporadic the games are. My main point (or what I was hoping) was more of the question if more people would get lost in the shuffle of there being so many cards and on so many different levels. Like I said, I've very rarely watched in the past few years, but I see they have like online prelims, then the FOX prelims, then the PPV. I feel that's such a hassle for the casual fan. Maybe that's just me.
  5. I wouldn't really say complaining. Like I said, I've VERY rarely watched UFC in the past few years. And I loved the presentation they had on Fox Sports prior to the fights. So much better than it used to be. I'm just used to there being an "aura" around UFC events like the past, and obviously, we are past that. Plus, from the looks of things, there is really no possible super fights left which is disappointing.
  6. Back in the day, I used to be the biggest MMA fan. Before it was all the craze (and mind you, this is like 2006/2007, so really before it took off) my friends and I would always watch the PPV's. This was also back before those bandwagon fans, and I know you all know the kind I'm talking about started taking a liking to MMA, but more so just the UFC. My friends and I were the guys who would buy PRIDE DVD's to watch, stream foreign PPV's (Hong Man Choi vs. Fedor from New Years 2008 comes to mind) and it was all awesome and fun. But since about 2011, the rate that I've watched MMA has decreased severely. Now last night's fights were awesome and fun, but onto the main point I was getting at. Or more of a question I suppose if you will. Do you think the UFC is running too many events now? For me, it feels like unless you are constantly following them every single week, it's a little bit harder to realize when they're holding their events. Back in '07, all you had really was TUF/Finale's, some Fight Night's (which were kind of a big deal) and then the PPV's. Now, I feel it's like more people will just get lost in the shuffle. Maybe that's not the case and I can't say I'm any sort of an expert as my knowledge on the past few years is limited (besides Jon Jones living where I live. Ran into that bastard a couple of times), but I really feel like people would get "lost" in the shuffle, so it's harder for them to become known. There's just so much going on that you can't possibly point out and remember every single person, and with how expansive it's gotten and the amount of fighters, I agree with the comment that the fighters now just seem way more generic. That's all just my two cents. TL;DR: Is the abundance of shows/fighters making it harder to get people over as they are getting "lost in transition"?
  7. I agree with everyone saying Silva should be out of the title picture. I've seen the guy since he came into the UFC; hell, even before that in PRIDE. But let's be honest, he is in no way, shape, or form the same Anderson Silva that was putting down the likes of Rich Franklin, Nate Marquardt, and Chris Leben. He's 38 and honestly just had one of the nastiest injuries I think any of us have seen in professional sports. That was downright gruesome. His place atop the "Legends of MMA" is definitely up there (personally, I would still put Fedor #1), but it's time to call it quits. There's people like Belfort, Jacare, and even Machida now down at Middleweight who I'd consider contenders before Silva now.
  8. I've been considering getting this game for a while now, but haven't. Seeing as it's the last year or whatnot, I really want to get it and used to love the old NCAA Football games (I think the last one I got was like '07 or '08). Plus, I prefer college over Madden just because of the diversity you get and the large amount of teams along with recruiting, the rankings, ESPN presentation, all that good stuff. And since it was talked about a few pages back (a while ago, I know), but I was a HUGE fan of College Hoops 2K. I only got 2K7, and even did a diary a few years back in the cube with the UC Riverside Highlanders, but thought they did an awesome job with their presentation. Even having a bracket show for the big dance was spectacular and actually gripping. Also, let's not forget about the halftime show 2K used to have back in their NFL days with Chris Berman at the half. If they could just have the same actual gameplay as EA, I think they could have or could do loads of spectacular things with it. Also, lol at Cuse being in the PAC. Cross country conferencing it up, I love it!
  9. I haven't updated this in years

  10. Siena wasn't a bad pick. By no means were they gonna get to the Final Four like I predicted, but they had four players averaging over 13.0 points a game. That isn't by any stretch of the means bad and Purdue was without Robbie Hummel who was one of their pivotal players.
  11. So the semi-final's are on tonight on ESPNU and while I normally wouldn't care about it, I actually know one of the kids who's in the semi's. He went to school with me at South Jefferson and started unseeded, but just pinned the #3 seed in the tournament earlier. His name is Justin Lister and he's quite the tank. Hopefully he can pull it off and win the National Championship.
  12. Okay, first, thank you Luke Harangody for doing NOTHING YOU BIG WASTE OF FUCKING SPACE. Seriously, I pick ND to go to the sweet 16, figuring Harangody will carry the team since it's his senior year. Nah, fuck me, Old Dominion shuts them up. Then Villanova almost falls at the hands of Robert Morris? And Jimmer Fredette drops 37 on Florida (thank god). I'm upset 'Nova almost lost, but it looks good for my Siena pick down the road now. I'm kind of happy to escape 2-1 out of the morning 3 seeing as how I could have very easily been 0-3 and had an elite 8 team knocked out too.
  13. I will be at the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games in Syracuse. All I am saying is this, Siena to the Final Four as my George Mason. Call it improbable, cause it is, but I can't pick against them.
  14. Aye, thanks for that. I found it a bit odd that they would replay the entire match, but to each their own I guess.
  15. Watched my first soccer game today in the form of Chelsea FC against Birmingham. Soccer is slowly becoming one of my favorite sports and I find myself sitting down and watching it every night on the Fox Soccer Network here in America. So far, it's easy to say that my favorite team is Chelsea so coming home from college today and getting the chance to see them in action was pretty sweet, but I was saddened by no Didier Drogba (who is my favorite player with David Villa coming in a close second). Anyways, I felt the need to just come in here and ask a question. If teams are tied at the end of a match (like say an F.A. Cup match), they said that they replay the entire match again? They don't go to a shootout?
  16. Doesn't matter Plubby. The referee didn't know that and it didn't matter. So they should've ended the fight Forrest Griffin won when he had a broken arm?
  17. That is the official rule too. Since Jones did a deliberate illegal technique to his opponent (Hamill), the opponent will be disqualified. Thus being the reason why Matt Hamill won the fight. Just to clarify that.
  18. I'm still not understanding how people are saying Hamill shouldn't have won the fight. Jon Jones ended the fight on an illegal move and Matt Hamill couldn't continue. This doesn't make it a no contest, it means Jones is disqualified from the fight for use of an illegal move, thus giving the win to Matt Hamill. If someone is disqualified in boxing, the fight isn't ended in a no contest, it's ended in a win for the other fighter. I'm a huge Hamill supporter and Jones really showed me what he can do and I like the guy, but you can't call it a no contest when an illegal move from one fighter ends the fight. That means any fighter can just get away with it and hope for a no contest. Oh, and don't bring your city to my Big Country. Plz and thanks.
  19. Oh, and might I add that I would hate to be the holder for Pitt. I guarantee you he is getting some shit for fucking up that extra point.
  20. Yes, it was an excellent game between the two with Tony Pike proving again to be the best quarterback in the Big East, if not among one of the top five in college football along with McCoy, Tebow, Keenum, and LeFevour. Now I am rooting for Nebraska, because someone's gotta lose in the Florida/Alabama game and I want to know if TCU would get the nod or if Cincinatti would. As it looks right now, probably Cincy, because their win over Pitt will be huge in the BCS ratings, but nobody can predict that shit.

    FIFA 10

Got this game yesterday on Black Friday at a hell of a deal for only $35. I am in no way, shape, or form some football fanatic, but I have been gaining interest in soccer slowly for quite some time now and this game only increases that interest ever more. It's an absolutely brilliant game and I love everything about it. I still have quite to learn, but the controls and gameplay is smooth as hell and the game is just an experience unlike any other. Give me an add for those of you on 360 so we can fire up a friendly against each other sometime. iKrone <-- that's my gamertag.
  22. So what do you do when you can't go to High School dances anymore? Sit at home.

  23. I am so pumped to see this. It's the clash of the titans. Big Country vs. Kimbo Slice. I am so excited to see what goes down. If Kimbo wins, he's the odds on favorite from here on out, but if Big Country wins, then HE is the odds on favorite from here on out. So excited for next week now.
  24. I retract from my earlier statement. Greg Paulus is leading us to the promise land baby.
