  1. Wave's California sticks out as one of the better pop songs of the late 90s... I miss the shifty...
  2. Thanks for that. I did use Google, btw, but have been working on this for several hours now, so I may have missed that, or it may have been one of the many pics that didn't show up on the computers here at school, which happen to edit out swearing, as well as most questionable pictures...
  3. Damn...I like Good Charlotte...
  4. Hey, I've been searching all over the internet for a good, large-sized promotional shot of the band, to put in a PowerPoint (slideshow) Presentation, but I can't seem to find one that leaves space for some font (not much, just their name and the song title.) Anyways, if anyone can help me by pointing me towards some good size, good quality pics of the band (Bach era, none of this new shit.) that would be super.
  5. Cradle of Filth Easily the most influential and successful "Black Metal" band of the past decade. Dani and the boys started in Total Fucking Darkness way back in the early 90's, and are keeping up with Damnation and a Day, which came out last year, and are currently working on a new album. Also, Nine Inch Nails, for obvious reasons.
  6. See, that's your problem...right there. You went in with expectations of how the movie was going to be, and when it wasn't what you thought it was going to be, you immediately dismissed it as a bad film. Many people do the exact same thing regarding many other films, and Underworld seems to be one that a lot of people expected something from. I went into Underworld expecting an awesome movie, and I came out gloriously ecstatic from the experience. You went in expecting Ninja-Vampires....
  7. How the hell can Gretzky justify picking an old cripple, and a goalie who has lost more of his talent than he has left...over a great young pillar of a netminder in Jose Theodore? It doesn't make any sense. If Belfour plays, his back is a problem. If Brodeur plays, we're almost screwed. Hopefully they just play Luongo... but I'm still pissed that Theodore didn't make the team. Anyways, it's good to see Iggy and Robyn Regehr made the squad instead of some other old guys who are either crippled and/or have lost what made them special.
  8. I'm not going to buy this CD, because, well...there are better CD's out there for me to buy... but with that said, I would like to commend these groups for putting this together and expressing their beliefs. Just because YOU may not like the bands on this disc, doesn't mean that SOMEONE ELSE isn't going to pick it up, listen to it, and actually take into consideration the fact that Bush is indeed the most moronic man ever to hold office in the United States. Maybe if they wanted to broaden their scope, they should release similar CD's in Metal style, and rap, and country music, just to appease all of the people who don't seem to like this more mainstream Punk representation of the youth of today (many of whom ARE politically aware, and many of whom PROBABLY agree with the purpose of the CD.) By going with the more mainstream groups, as well as adding a few non-mainstream groups, what they have done is appealed to a wider audience. For every one person who doesn't buy this disc because of the fact that the groups aren't the best representation of punk rock, there will be three or four people who buy this disc because this is all they know about Punk rock. BTW: The Ataris > j00.
  9. Bah, I absolutely LOVED this movie, and was going to buy the regular DVD, but that's $25 itself, and the Special Edition 2 Disc set is only going to be $30, so I figured I'd just buy that instead if there was enough cool stuff added, and 30 minutes of extra footage added to the movie = worth my five extra dollars.
  10. Okay, this bad motherfucker is set to hit stores on May 25th, and I'm looking to buy it, but I have no clue what the hell is special about it... Could anyone fill me in on what the set will include (if anything) that is different from, or not in, the original DVD release?
  11. "40 Seasons: The Best of Skid Row" Why? Because Skid Row kicks ass, and I absolutely LOVE Sebastian Bach's vocals. Great songs on the disc: Youth Gone Wild, Eighteen and Life, I Remember You, Monkey Business, Quicksand Jesus.
  12. I second this motion. Nothing in VC even touched Flock of Seagulls on this one.
  13. The officiating in the Flames/Sharks game was the absolute shits. They're just asking for another Bertuzzi situation if they keep that shit up, because I can almost guarantee that the Flames would have sent the game to overtime had at least 1/5 of the calls that should have been made, had been made. And what the fuck is up with picking on Simon and Clark? Simon got called for interference on the same shift where he had JUST been hauled down by his jersey on a scoring opportunity... And Clark was penalized for being punched and cross-checked... if that shit happens in Game 4, I hope Oliwa or Simon go fucking mental on one of the Sharks key players.
  14. I liked the first CD, but it's lasting life in my discman wasn't very long... whereas most of my other CD's are on heavy rotation, without being left out for more than a week or two.
  15. lol. Not just Illyria though. When Amy Acker was just plain Fred she was still giving me rigamortis of my wee wee. Amy Acker = teh Sex
  16. Flames will sweep the Sharks in 4. Flyers will beat the Bolts in 6. Kiprusoff will prove once again why he > * when he leads Calgary to a 4-2 Stanley Cup Final series win.
  17. I sometimes get new episodes...mostly re-runs, but sometimes a new one sneaks it's way in. Most recent one I saw was with Fred all evil and blue-haired (...and hotter than hell. I love Amy Acker.)
  18. Good man. My Flames have been vastly underrated throughout the entire season. It's good to see people cheering for them, and those who aren't are sure taking them seriously now.
  19. I want to see it picked back up, but from what I've seen of Season Five (I only get new one's sporadically) it will be hard to do, as so many of the characters have been "drastically" effected by one thing or another in this past season. Anyways, if NBC picked Angel up, it would be kickass, because I'd actually get to watch the new episodes every week. Right now, I watch Angel every night, either on Space or Fox, and I still love it.
  20. Brides of Destruction - Shut The Fuck Up Seether w/ AMy Lee - Broken
  21. I watched The Last Samurai earlier. 9/10 9 because I really enjoyed this film, and it was probably the best I've seen in some time... but it doesn't get a 10 from me because it moved a little too slow for my tastes.
